Why do regular old marksmen use mana?

Magic is one of the coolest things about League of Legends. From the Void, to Brand's lore, to Vel'Koz's ult, magic never ceases to amaze. Unless it's being used by a marksman.

Now I can understand when adc's like Ashe and Kindred use mana; their arrows are clearly magical. Even Lucian uses magic in some of his attacks. However, many marksmen are simply gunslingers and have no magical abilities, yet still use mana!

What I would like to see eventually would be a bullet/ammo system employed for champs that would hold some x amount of bullets and could be refilled at turrets and in base.

I know it seems unnecessary, but I feel as if it negatively impacts the realism of the game seeing mana spent to pull a trigger.

DrMundo Throwing a cleaver so hard it cost you some blood...but that's ok, cause if you hit someone with it, you instantly get it back. What, does he have transfusion needles and tubes in all his cleavers?

Barely anything in league is logical.

If you want logical marksmen... Corki is now immune to all melee damage and can freely move over all terrain. (Because..if you're in a helicopter, why would you ever fight at a low enough level that someone could hit you with a sword?)

Also, better reduce all marksman's movement speeds down to like 30, cause..they're gonna be slow as fk if they have to carry around all that ammo and traps and fuel and extra weapons.

And Sivir can now only use her Q or autoattack..not both...and she has to wait for it to come back to do anything else. Or..if she can't catch her weapon on the return path because she's cc'd or something, she either gets killed (by it cutting her in half) or it drops on the ground and has to go pick it up before she can attack again. Also if she attacks someone like Maokai or full stack Chogath or Zac or she just loses her ability to attack forever, as her weapon would either get stuck in them, or destroyed.

Think of mana as a form of energy. It takes effort/aiming for Cait to line up her q and r, it's gonna cause some eye strain, so she can't do it continually without taking a break/able to close her eyes for a minute. (aka: recalling)

Or like Corki, his W could use up some fuel, and he has to go back to base for more fuel.

Use your imagination, cause trying to think of LoL 'realistically' is going to make your head hurt...a lot...

Negetive impact on realism? You do know you're playing a game that has a giant cat fish licking a small furry creature who plants shrooms, so a helicopter flying midget will somehow step on them, thus poisoning him, and his team mate, who's a giant crocodile Who is the brother of a giant dog named susane. Also, there's a flying spaghetti monster, a land shark and a ice queen swimming about.

I think i can buy marksmen using mana for their ability on this one.

Well I suppose firing arrows should cost magicka in Skyrim because there are unrealistic things in it like dragons? The game is realistic to the lore, except for how the marksmen spend mana to move their index fingers.

Well if you wanna get technical, basic attacks, or as you call it, pulling the trigger - doesnt cost mana, only their abilities do

The abilities of marksman are ckearly above and beyond the norm. I.E. using black powder weapons (typically one shot) yet her ult is just a mega cone of seemingly endless bullets until her arms tire out!

Ez has magic guantlets. Twitch is a mutant freak. Kog'maw uses internal void magic to vomit on you. Graves has named gun (possibly a magic one) Quin has a a special (most likely magical in some form) with valor. Vayne uses dark magic to hunt evil. Kalista is a freaking vengeance spirit. Varrus is an ionian corrupted by some magicsl ingluence. Tristana i can see your point for but yet again even for a meglin her use of her cannon/rocket launcher is rather above norm so possibly a tiny amount of innate magic is being used to enhance her ammo even if she is unaware of it.
