New AP Juggernaut Item
Yesterday I posted on the need for a 
analog for magic damage juggernauts. Special thanks to @Mordepool and @Stars Shaper in particular for the thoughtful feedback. A major concern was the potential for AP squishies to abuse an item that's not meant for them. Based on those thoughts and others, here is my proposal for the new AP juggernaut item, and of course these numbers are approximate.
Face of Funk Smack (working title) 400 Health 20 Attack Damage 30 Ability Power
Unique passive: Dealing magic damage to enemies within 200 units smacks them with Funk, reducing their magic resistance by 12% + 5% Total AD over 1.5 seconds (max 20% reduction). Lasts 1 second.
Unique passive: Gain 25 movement speed towards Funky enemies. (does not stack with 
passive)
Build path: + 
+ 450g = 3200g
The goal of this item is to be a good first item power spike for the likes of 
or 
, and to be a much less efficient buy for AP midlaners like 
, 
, or 
due to the following
-low raw AD/AP
-very limited range for applying MR shred
-time required in close range for full application of MR shred
-rapid fall-off of MR shred after exiting range
That said, this item could still be quite strong on

, and maybe even core on

. One of them is doing fine, while the other just got reworked so we will see where she ends up. But I digress, instead of making items that only benefit one champion, let's just balance the one champion around the items that already exist. There's just too much risk that the item you make either A: is only good on 1 champion, so there's no point, or B: ends up becoming really good on multiple champions so it has to be nerfed so its only good on 1 champion. Remember WoTa? It was only ever bought on vlad, so Riot just removed it and gave vlad the lifesteal built into his kit.
