Edge of Night and Mercs?

At the very least it gives you more build diversity and makes Edge of Night a little less overbearing to deal with.

Uh what? Are you proposing to make Edge of Night and Mercs have a QSS active by building out of it? I don't see the reasoning behind this at all.

item 3139 Mercurical Scimitar and Edge of Night both being able to be built out of QSS is what I'm talking about. It gives QSS 2 build paths and you can remove edge's spell shield for the cleanse instead.

No one's had much problem (aside from a select few champs) with QSS before. It also requires more reactionary timing to it.

Riiiight. I was confused because Mercs is more generally used to refer to the shoe.

You know, that's not the worst idea I've ever heard, and It would bypass the spellshield cooldown debacle entirely. But EoN is getting hotfixed soon (source), so we'll see how it pans out there first.
