now crumbles in any battle of attrition simply because his passive proc heals off cannon minions during laning phase for like... 15hp and his hp5 regen is fucking 3, 2nd lowest in the entire game. He's not even a late game champion either.

Classic Riot overnerfed champion because of pro play.
Aatrox has a healthier design than most other top laners but the cancer that is pro play which keeps ruining this game's balance will keep him from being as strong as he deserves to be.
Then he ults and has 100% Lifesteal on his entire existence.
Moving on.
Attack speed was Aatrox thing and they removed it, not healing.
I hate new Aatrox, not only because they removed old one but because his healing and lane bully status is just far too high. In order to get him right they need to remove the 3 knockups (one of the reason he's so good in pro), make it only 1 on his last slam and remove his bonus healing on ult entirely. Then they can buff his damage and give him back 2 dashes.
