Now we can work on something else. How about only matching solo players with premades where every member is higher elo than the solo player? That way the incredibly un-fun experience where a single player has to try to carry four people a tier below them is not as much of a problem. To my best recollection, premades were once rated as more skilled than the sum of their parts. Which is fine for matchmaking against an enemy team, but as someone who mainly plays solo, being shoved into a game where only one or two people in the game are of similar skill levels is the least pleasant experience it's possible to have in a video game. It's not fun to stomp an opponent who is unskilled, and it's not fun to be the unskilled opponent being stomped.
