People are too quick to blame everything on riot.

I'm not arguing that riot isn't at fault for the current state of the game, but the thing is.. everything that seems strong is counterable. It's the same story every few months when something new pops up. People decide it's overpowered and complain instead of trying something new, then the quite obvious counter gets popularized and everyone complains about that instead. I honestly think esports is the problem with league. Not that riot balances around it or whatever other silly arguments there are. I think the problem is that people try to copy what they see popular players doing and don't know how to play it at all.

I won't deny that people are too quick to judge Riot and that the boards are cluttered with far too many complaint threads (Fizz may be frustrating but he is not unbeatable guys) but there are times where Riot straight up ignores us for whatever reason.

  • The Mordekaiser and Cassiopeia reworks totally ignored any feed back from the player base, far worse in the latter case, and as a result the reworks were a sham. Mordekaiser bot was great for a while until they shafted what made him strong bot, having a massive experience and gold advantage, and then tried to tweak back to a good solo laner. That being said Mordekaiser is almost fine again (49% winrate top), even though it took a while, but Cassiopeia had her identity as the poison mage deleted in exchange for some kind of Ryze style hyper carry which the players didn't want. If Riot had of listened to us then Cassiopeia wouldn't need another rework now.

  • More recently than that though was the XinZhao buffs. The boards were telling Riot it was bad idea to buff XinZhao that much (I think most could understand some buffs were need) they went ahead with it anyways.

I suppose it's just frustrating that our input often falls on deaf ears or blind eyes because they're reading (LeeSin gets the joke). I can understand though that we have been wrong in the past (We are the reason reworked Skarner needed a hotfix after all) and that the boards aren't always the nicest (Seriously though could we stop with the "Riot Needs a New Balance" I mean it's just immature) it would be nice if we were listened to when it came to things especially reworks.
