Is a ranked KDA lockout a bad idea?

I just dodged a game because second pick locked in Shaco. This might have been a wonderful pick except for the fact that his average Shaco score line is 2/11/4. From his match history it appears that this guy is spamming Shaco in ranked using varying builds ap/ad/crit/hybrid and feeding a ton. I don't think that this player was intentionally doing this to be a troll, he is just using ranked to learn a champ and practice various builds. I believe that this is truly unfair to the team that gets him and contrary to the spirit of ranked play.

In ranked play this can be minimized by having a temporary KDA lockout. What I propose is that in cases like this where a player has an absolutely abysmal KDA over the course of several ranked games they are locked out of playing the champ in ranked until they complete 3 games in normal mode with the champ. When I say abysmal I'm talking 1 or less. Regardless of KDA in normals they are allowed to play the champ in ranked once the 3 games are completed. I believe that a system like this may lead to a better ranked experience.

I'm not sure how realistic this would be, but I'm interested in hearing what you all think of this or something similar being instituted for ranked play.

KDA doesn't win you games (granted it is a good measure for player skill). As a tank player, this just seems backward to me. Tanks (and sometimes split pushers like shaco) will often sacrifice themselves for an objective to help their team win. This doesn't always show up in the KDA when you throw yourself into 5 members of the enemy team to save your ADC with a killing spree bounty on his head. Things like that are smart plays that would be punished by your system. Not a fan.

Just wait until 5-man solo queue becomes a thing (dynamic queue or whatever they're calling it) if you want to pick and choose your teammates.

Lots of Bronze players actually have a sustained kda of 1 or below. On average, Bronze players actually have 2 more deaths than they have kills. Plus, a shit kda really doesn't say anything about how much you helped the game. Maybe you consistently go 12/14/2 and carry anyway.

If this were to be a thing I think if it were more at .6. For example I have multiple ranked games on Kogmaw but have never gotten an insane game on him to even out the 2 bad games I had (not hard feed). The reason I say this is because I've had my share of 20+ kill games on Kogmaw in normals, but in ranked I wasn't lucky enough to get these good games. So, a KDA in ranked less than .6 would be a better place I feel as it would still separate the hard feeders from your game.
