The new "champion mastery" changes.

So the more you play a specific champion, the more "mastery points" you have right? Play a champion enough times and you'll be some epic grandmaster or something.. right?

Is that all there is to it? Is Riot saying that if you play this champion 100 times, you're automatically much better than the guy who played it 50 times?

I would assume there was some kind of internal scoring system database where it took all the Urgot player stats and compared your own to them and THEN gave you a champion score and using THAT you would "gain levels" in that champ...

Please tell me there is more to this than just tallying up the times you played X champ..

people sperging out about the word "Mastery" waaay too much. It's not an indicator of skill at all and as far as i can tell Riot hasnt implied that it is

EDIT: well i guess calling it "Champion Mastery" is kind of implying it, but you get my point

You level up faster if you win/perform well, but its essentially a time sink/grindfest yeah.

Presumably its aimed at the casual player (yours truly, more often than not) to keep him interested/give him some goals.
