Melee against Yasuo?

How do you lane as a melee champion against Yasuo? Except for hugging turret. Q spamming, E dashing and pretty big base AD makes him an annoying mtfkr. I have no problem playing as ranged mages against him, but as a melee I just get zoned too hard. Any tips? And yes, I do dodge Q's, but a good Yasuo will not let you do it.

Have you tried pressing E with Mordekaiser?

I don't own Mordekaiser. But yes, I did.

most ranged champs can beat him, but most melees have trouble early game against him except for jax. If you want try using mages against him, he is completely destroyed by Malzahar and Chogath, and he has no way to outsustain champions like Vladimir or Garen, or just crush him in the early game with a champion like Rumble. I remember in my last game of ranked provisionals i went top as Yasuo against a Rumble and was completely destroyed since i couldn't even get near him when he had flamespitter up. For most melee champions he has the advantage in lane, but high mobility champions do well since he can't land abilities on them unless he can predict your movements.

Yasuo has a base AD of 55, lol.

What melees are you playing that have trouble with Yasuo? Look at his base stats. They're garbage.

I once lost as Malphite vs Yasuo and I started with 62 armor(ranked W and started cloth armor). It was outplay at lvl 4-6, but we traded at lvl 1, near my minion wave and he got me half of HP while I only managed to deal 10-20% of his HP. Masteries 9-21-0, runes 9 flat armor.

I think you should have started Q to fuck up his attempts at engaging (without his E, he can only walk at you), or E to slow his attack speed, since he is attack speed reliant.

Malphite just doesn't deal much damage.

Yasuo is very weak early on, but he does have a pretty strong level 1. Just farm until you have a full rotation of abilities. Then you can begin poking him and trading.

I'm not really familiar with Malphite though, so I am not sure how to do the match-up. Keep in mind though, that of the melee carries, Yasuo might have the weakest early game. You think Yasuo has high base AD? Tryndamere has a base AD of 61. Fiora 60. Jax 62. The only advantage Yasuo has against Malphite that the others don't is bonus armour pen from his ult, but if you're stacking armour and HP I find it hard to believe that Yasuo can kill a Malphite short of cheesing him early.

Yasuo has like 5 winning matchups half of which are ranged. How are you losing to him as a melee champion

How do you lane as a melee champion against Yasuo?

Respect his low-CD abilities and damage levels 1~3, overpower him after that.

Mostly what Yasou has going for him in-lane is Steel Tempest and being manaless, and that's essentially it. His crit steroid is 100% useless without crit (AKA in-lane). Strong late-game: but not all it's cracked up to be. Most champions (Even supports like Janna) can frequently be found with solid AA steroids, a massive +50 in her case.

Once you get to a point where your QWE or QWER hurts, you should be able to overpower Yasou without much difficulty.

Considering Steel Tempest and critical-strike auto-attacks count as both physical "and" auto-attack damage, and they're all melee-range in the case of Yasou, these items give him a double-whammy: item 3047 item 3082 item 3143 item 3110 item 3075 item 3068 item 3751 item 3709 .

A lot of melee champions are actually significantly harder to counter-build or near impossible, so take advantage of that if you can.

At the very least item 3047 is an easy answer to Yasou if he's causing you trouble. If you're sturggling with him ATM - play it sage, respect Yasou's power, and save up for these pair of boots. If you can manage to stay even with CS and don't die early - you should have the upper-hand from then on in lane and can start getting more and more aggressive against him. Most champions are going to have stronger in-lane AA steroids than Yasou (except mages), and a lot of champions will also beat him in QWER vs. QWER strength. After level ~3, Yasou rapidly sinks into a big valley of power, staying very true to the weak early, strong-late power-scaling that should be expected of a carry.

Beyond that - considering Yasou's weaknesses during the lanning phase, you might want to check up on some top-lane tips on Youtube. Yasou might not be your problem in this case so much as struggling with how to lane as a melee. You could just be placing yourself in bad positions to be ganked, fighting Yasou in the middle of his creep-wave, picking fights when your opponent backed and has an item advantage while you don't, etc. Playing as a typical melee champion is in a completely different ballpark than a typical ranged champion. You might just want to stick with ranged mages that you're comfortable with.
