Cinderhulk is no longer OP

We all know Sion got nerfed(overkilled) because of Cinderhulk's overpowerness. Cinderhulk got nerfed, yet Sion stays the same. I suggest you give back his 2 seconds timer on W 2nd activation. If not from the start, at least make it scale with ability rank. Thank you.

Sion never got nerfed because of Sion Jungle. He got nerfed because of Sion top and I've never seen a Cinderhulk Sion top.

Yeah, it was Sion's laning that was too strong, not his Jungle power. He was a strong jungler too due to him just being really strong at the time, but he wasn't nerfed BECAUSE of his Jungling.

Before Cinderhulk He was one of the only tanks in the game that could pull off a full clear before his first back. If they really wanted to nerf jungle Sion, they could have removed the ability to stun units with his E instead of fucking his W ratio. That combined with his Q basically means once he hits 3 he stunlock the large monsters of each camp to death. But Jungle Sion wasn't the problem top lane Sion was.

Nearly all of the jungle tanks could pull a full clear of the jungle before cinderhulk. What happened after cinderhulk to make it so tanks could clear better on the first run? Nothing. But Gragas, Maokai, Sejuani, Cho, Amumu, Zac, and Volibear were all more than capable of clearing the full jungle before their first back even without a leash. There are probably more, but thinking that Cinderhulk suddenly made it so Tank junglers could clear better with just Machette is just wrong.

A few things happened around that time. Gromp smite getting buffed and camps getting weakened were the main ones.

Gromp smite worked off of Bonus HP which you really didn't have a lot more of as a Tank in your first clear. But I guess I do remember Raptors getting nerfed, so touché. I still think a lot of tank junglers were able to do full clears, particularly Gragas, Maokai, and Volibear due to their passives. Gromp smite was nerfed soon after as well and we still see tanks doing full clears before backing, so really the only difference is the Raptor camp doing less damage.

As someone who loves the tank meta, I find myself actually disagreeing.

Why? Because (similar to devourer) Sion's W passive can scale infinitely which is a huge strength for him, particularly as a tank. On top of this, Cinderhulk amplifies that by 25%. Sion's ability to tank and cc is nearly unparalleled. Particularly if he's allowed to stack up the freebie HP.

I like Sion's shield how it is, it's being used as a shield and a soft-taunt. If you see Sion's shield go up in a teamfight, you need to get it down before he detonates and wipes out 10% of your team's max HP. It's in a good spot in my opinion. Sure it limits his kill potential, but he's designed to be an unkillable tank... So...

The infinite stacking isn't as good as people keep saying it is. He's probably one of the only infinitely stacking champions who's winrate actually declines past 40 minutes.

Really? The last time I checked it Cinderhulk and Sion's w hp gain do not interact.

It does. A friend of mine stacked 5.8hp yesterday, but with the cost of little MR and ~200 armor.

First off, Sion was overpowered in the top lane, not the jungle.

Second off, 2 second timer on his W helps his top lane without helping his jungle. Activate it before starting the camp so you can detonate it at will when you take the camp.

Third off, the 3 second timer wasn't what killed his jungle. It was the reduction of his W's health ratio that made his shield really bad for jungling because it popped instantly on taking damage from a camp. If Sion is bad, revert the health scaling so he can tank a little more damage in the jungle.

As a Sion player, if he could just have his tanky side be overbuffed to be impossible to kill but get his damage cut in half. I'd love that

Sion didn't get nerfed because of Cinderhulk. He got nerfed because he was spammy as fuck.

Activating shield before charging up the Q is a lot more effective now since you can detonate the shield, soak up some of the damage, and such. Granted it's not as efficient as before but it's still manageable as of yet. Pity they had to nerf Sion due to him being a powerful top laner.

Personally I think the bigger nerf was to his Q damage

V5.6 Decimating smash: Damage to monsters Reduced to 80% from 90%

This was shortly after that the introduction of Cinderhulk. And Riot thought that it, combined with his Q damage cleared camps too fast for a full tank. God know the best tank Junglers were the ones who already had a decent Clear speed. (I.E Sej)

That said, reverting this nerf would boost his Jungle power without affecting his top lane too much.

They really did overnerf Sion...Riot has a really bad habit of being like:

Community: THIS CHAMPION IS OP AS HELL! NERF NOW! Riot: Oh, he's OP? Well we better nerf Community: Ok, he's probably balanced now, thanks Riot: We still think he's a tad OP...let's do another nerf Community: Ok, well now he feels kind of hard to play, maybe we should just wait and- Riot: You know what? Another nerf cause fuck it Community: Alright, well he's unplayable now

They seriously just go on a warpath and they just keep nerfing over and over and over. I have no idea what they're thinking...just look what happened to Gragas...he seriously got nerfed twice in a row...in patch 5.10, then 5.12...and that's on top of the indirect nerfs through cinderhulk and gromp...5.13 he got another indirect nerf through item 3800. guess what? 45% win rate now. He's basically shit. They took a god tier jungler and threw him down to tier 2...because they are too fucking impatient, and they just nerf over and over without waiting to see how the first round of changes will really effect the champion. As much as they claim to be afraid of "Olafing" champions they still seem to do it with alarming frequency.
