Any update on the option to queue for only one role?

Besides the initial reason upon release of dynamic queue that it was "to shorten queue times", has Riot mentioned anything about changing it so we can queue for only one role? Is it something that's even on the table or that they are considering, or are we just stuck with perma 2+ roles?

I really don't think it would increase queue times that much if we had the OPTION of one role. There are plenty of impatient people who wouldn't want to wait and would just queue for multiple roles. I never had much of a problem with teambuilder, yeah sometimes there were long waits for supports but overall it wasn't that bad trying to play mid in teambuilder.

I used to get mid a lot more in the old draft pick by just saying "mid pref" than I do now. I'd rather wait 10-15 minutes for a good game of Mid than play a 45 minute mess where I do terrible and everyone calls me useless because I can't adc/top/jg very well. Sure eventually I'll get better at these roles but I just don't find them very fun compared to mid. And don't even get me started on Support, I'm decent at it but if I queue mid/supp I just get supp 90% of the time which gets old.

I love mid lane, played thousands of games of it in the past couple seasons, climbed from bronze to plat in one season playing almost exclusively mid. Now it feels like I can almost never play Mid anymore and as a result the game's getting kind of boring. Not sure if I'm gonna quit the game or what but I just hope they change this or at least put some kind of much heavier priority on your main role.

Everyone always QQ's like "just learn another role." I do like the game but I really only find one role fun, why is that so crazy?
