Whatever I try on this champion I end up feeding.

the problems I have:

in every time I go in for trades enemy out trades me no matter what. it is like if i want to trade i need to hit Q and dodge everything he/she is throwing at me.
it feels like her combo can't 100-0 early-mid game ( NOT SAYING IT IS).
late game I do decent with her if I didn't go 0/5 instantly :S

Build order: ROD of ages zhonyas ( or banshee first depends on enemy laner.) banshee rabadon void staff cooldown boots.

I know she does less dmg than other mages because of her insane cc.

but man every time I try to play her inting starts...

You don't "trade" as Lissandra, you harass.

Even when forced a trade, what you want to do is have an extended harass, like Q -> W -> Q -> disengage

Other than that, you're an initiator/roamer. That's what she does best.

Try item 3152 instead of RoA, but she generally does not have a dedicated build path. However, the one stat that she benefits most from is CDR, so go for it. when allowed.

Pro Tip Incoming Farm Up Q the enemy minions (AOE) Push lane constantly Build item 3027 Take summoner 12 Roam like an assassin and get your Allied Laners Ahead (mostly bot) ggez

Edit: also build item 1027 + 3 item 2003 you get more sustain in lane because of the extra you wouldnt be getting by going item 1056 + 2

and item 1027 is a component to item 3010 which builds into your item 3027

This is the best advice you will get.

Heyo can I get a link to some of these matches? Just off of your description it seems like you are trying to commit too hard to fights, Lissandra can 100-0 when ahead but her kit is a lot about the utility and roaming she brings to the team. Because of this she doesn't thrive in too many 1v1 scenarios.

If you want to play her as a burst mage, you have to skip RoA.
