You know something went wrong when an assassin has a winrate below 45% in the MARKSMAN meta
You cant see it but zed's crying under his mask

You cant see it but zed's crying under his mask

One of the hardest to play champions in the game, who is simultaneously popular among low-skill players because of his Big Play Potential, has a low win rate? Really? I'm so surprised!
No, seriously. Zed is a hard to play champion. He's always had a low win rate. An "adc meta" doesn't change that. Loads of people even up to platinum seeing his big plays and thinking they can do the same and taking him in to ranked with 10 games of experience causes his low win rate. (He has over a 50% win rate when played by people with 50+ games experience).
He's getting buffed anyways, although I don't think he needs it to be honest. Zed is a very hard to balance champion.
The Assassin meta is back boyz!
Zed should have his spell cast range reduce back to where it was before preseason.
Even better is that Riven is supposed to be the snowballing top laner, in what every one is calling a snowballing meta and she's at a 44% win rate. Also Rammus has one of the highest win rates in a meta that was supposed to have killed tanks.
supposed to have killed tanks.
Why does everyone keep saying this?
AD assassins are hit due to the loss of Brutalizer as an early high-impact item (it was nearly as efficient as other items were when fully completed) and the changes to Last Whisper and its upgrades to make it more of a dedicated anti-armor item, compared to the general purpose damage item it was before.
Im just repeating what has been said on the boards, every one here is saying tanks are trash so I find it funny that Rammus is doing so good. I get that this is supposed to be the adc meta but like the OP said Assassins aren't doing shit right now so its kinda weird that rammas is working.
I think that the somewhat strained situation AD assassins are in has a lot to do with the changes to itemization, and people not adapting to the changes. For example, I fully expect that 50% or more of people that play their first few matches as AD assassin on the new patch build as if the game has not changed, like going Caulfield's into upgraded Last Whisper. Problem is, while that was a viable route before, it is not anymore - Last Whisper and its upgrades are no longer generally useful damage items. Also, I've seen someone who took Warlord's Bloodlust on Lee Sin and Zed and never build any crit, making the mastery completely wasted.
I think that, in the long run, AD assassin's itemization will develop to include
. Death's Dance and Maw are especially interesting, imo, as they prevent the assassin from being blown up instantly, giving them more time to do their job.
On top of this, I've seen AP assassins do quite fine. Kassadin really liked the new Rod of Ages (120 AP), for example.
Rammus does well against auto attacking champions. Particularly when they are encouraged to build straight glass cannon
Idk I guess but assassins are having a hard time killing these same glass cannons.
I mean, that's the reason why Rammus is such a god, but tanks in general had huge winrate increases and not all of them are specifically meant to fight autoattackers. I think there's a pretty good argument to be made that tanks as a whole saw the biggest power increase out of any class.
meanwhile:

At least 1 assassin is above a 50% win rate, all hail Master Yi !
