An Aatrox Solution?
I've been seeing quite a few threads about Aatrox
in the past. And it comes with no argument that the current Aatrox is in shambles. Having bugs and little to no contribution in team compositions, etc. Is there truly a need for a rework on Aatrox? Perhaps. But I think there are better ways than a "rework". I honestly see Aatrox as a diamond in the rough. He just needs a bit of "polishing".
Here's a suggestion that I think could work. Why not make his W into a Manamune-esque item just for him?
This would leave a spot in Aatrox's kit that can really give him a big push. Not sure what the ability that replaces W could be, but this may help him from where he is currently.
Why did I suggest this? I took some time and thought for solutions, but this one intrigued me when I thought about it. We have Viktor
(Mana) who has an item upgraded by gold and Rengar
(Ferocity/No Resource) who thrives on Kills and Assists. So I thought why not make Aatrox (Health) into one of these? This would honestly fit in his lore (perfectly) where it says "...Aatrox's seemingly living blade drinks in their blood, empowering him and fueling his brutal, elegant campaign of slaughter."
How would this Aatrox personal item work? It would be like his W as it is in item form. But it won't give him additional stats until he "collected" enough "Blood". From any damage he dealt to champions, minions, and monsters and from using his abilities, he will collect "Blood". There will be 2-3 stages to this: Inert, Awakened, (these are optional upgrades when you go back to base after getting the "Awakened" item) [Ravager, Reaver, Repriser]. Ravager, more damage at the cost of more health for every 3rd auto if toggled; Reaver, more heal for every 3rd auto when not toggled; and Repriser, more attack speed.
-Adjustments and more to add later-
(Just to let you know, I'm not very good at "balancing" something like this, so if any of you would like to help/suggest something, please leave a comment on what you think. Also note that I haven't put too much thought into this.)
