See? Plants weren't all that bad after all

Change is good and sometimes it just takes some time for it to become the norm. So let's all try and be more open minded to new ideas Riot introduces because honestly whether we like it or not we have to get used to it.

Meh, I could still take or leave them. They were mostly added as a weak crutch to help low-sustain junglers and immobile junglers. And they did a bit, but it's not as if they don't work on mobile junglers too, so... it didn't shift the balance of the game or anything. It just gave a get-outta dumb situations free card to a lot of people. Sure, the blast plant helps me as often as it steals a kill for me, but in either case it's rewarding a player for being foolish by letting him get away with it through dumb luck.

That's still not really a good thing, I'd say.

You said they are not bad, lets agree with that for a moment, but are those plants good tho? Just because they are not bad doesnt mean that they are actually good. Are they atleast on the same level as smitebuffs? Why couldnt they coexist? And there is still room for improvement for those plants.

Why couldnt they coexist?

Because it would have made junglers even stronger than they are right now.

Well its is still possible to balance them around smitebuffs and plants...

I liked them from the beginning.

Well you were a rarity, the League community from Reddit, youtube and boards were all pretty opposed to the idea of plants as a whole, especially the restoration plant and scrying plant.

I think it was mainly because of the removal of smite buffs from all the jg camps, removed some of the strategy of jungling. Atleast for me that was the only problem i had with the changes, was all for the plants but the removal of smite buffs upset me a little bit haha

I was concerned, but as it turns out they are quite useful, particularly the Scryer's Bloom which acts as a counter to stealth (one of my major concerns at the start of this season). I'm happy with them.

But they are awful

The blast cone favors champions with mobility (who are already overly favored in this game) and makes punishing mistakes harder. The honeyfruit makes the lanes even more snowbally because the winning side is far more likely to be able to get it. The scryer's bloom is fine, at least, but I still see no reason for it to exist.
