Are there any known comps that are worth dodging?

In aram it's easy to tell when a game is lost due to a bad team comp, most of the time. And you can either decide to dodge if no rerolls, or suck it up and try ur best, completing your team's itemization, or pray to get carried. In summoner's rift, unless it's an obvious troll pick like teemo jg or zed top (or both, cus God hates me), I can't really tell. Going all squishy also works these days. Does everything go, even without any champ/ability synergies (certain adcs go with certain supps, or some jgs go with some tops)? Or are there some clear examples/patterns out there worth paying attention to? I could extend this to summ spells too, cus those are visible as well in champ select, and besides the usual no flash/ghost (shaco being exempt and can take exhaust), I saw that good players can make anything work, even tp on MF being used only in phasing lane.
