Why does Sona's lvl 1 ult have 140 second CD?

Here are the other supports for comparison.

Ali: 120 Blitz: 60 Braum: 140 Janna: 150 Leona: 90 Lulu: 110 Nami: 120 Soraka: 160 Thresh: 140

I don't think I really need to explain why Soraka's ult is 160 seconds. But Sona's ult CD is on par with Braum, Thresh, and Janna's. I don't see why this should be the case when all 3 of those champs have hard CC on their basic abilities, and as such, are not nearly as vulnerable as she is with ult down. I guess an argument could be made that Sona's ult is particularly powerful, but I'm not seeing it. Does it really need to be 20 seconds longer than Nami's? And seriously, Leona, whyyyy. Honestly, Thresh's should probably be lower too except his basic kit is strong enough as it is.

She gets increased increased spammability on her basic abilities is why.

her ult has a passive
she has one of the highest winrates
Not having reliable hard cc is an intended weakness because her basic kit is very good at what it does.

sona is fine and doesn't need any number changes

i would like meddler to make her able to cancel her passive auto-attack, and make her able to flash during cresendo.

Because you can mash qwe without even thinking about it. Sona needs to take some actual skill in ability management, so they put it in her ult.

As someone who absolutely loves Sona:

She completely wrecks team fights. I honestly think that there is no stronger champion to bring to a 5v5 in LoL. If the match is even, the only way to have a chance at successfully engaging a 5v5 against a Sona is to play around her Crescendo cooldown.

Because that ult has the potential to be a five man stun, and the rest of her kit is made to work without hard CC.

Personally, Sonas ultimate has probably some of the highest potential ults in the whole game to turn around events into your favor (right behind amumu) and it's good that it's not on a lower cooldown early on. It gives me a feeling of punishement if I miss it at times at early levels, so I actually try my best to hit it next time.

But the fact that you have to flash+ult to get a got engage with sona sucks. ~~lower cd of flash kthxbye~~

More like why is threshs so high? Obviously sonas should be it can stun a whole team, has that bullshit passive and does a ton of damage.
