Just how important will the new 20 minutes rift herald buff be.
Will whoever gets the first kill mid or top just have their mid, top and jungle immediately go to secure the herald?
Will teams group up as 5 to secure the 20 minute buff for their toplane? if so how early will they do this?
As a jungle main just trying too gauge peoples thoughts on just how crucial this buff will be
I'd be interested to see i there are any meta shifts honestly. RH seems pretty important now, but so is dragon. Could see things like duo top just to secure RH early for mid lane then swap bot.
It spawns at 8 min (i think) which means that if you can have your jungler gank bot early game and kill one or two, you can then dragon and lane swap do the same thing and get the rift herald buff (and then the top tower) and then swap back bot for the bot tower and next dragon.
Rift Harold Is insane, especially if you have like a zed, yasuo, talon, or other high burst split pushers. Or just a big lane bully like Renek.
The Duration is the big question. Depending on when Rift herald is taken, it could be an Early game boon, or have an effect well into the late game.
And given that it only works while your alone, only a hand full of champs or strategies will work. Likely such a buff would have to be reserved for the Jungler, or possibly one of the solo laners.
But looking at the buff again, it doesn't look that significant. 5% DR against champs, and dealing a bit of bonus damage based off level, in a similar manor to a ludens. It's effectiveness is going to be dependent on the user's ability to exploit that advantage.
