ward jumping

I had a discussion whit a friend of mine and though i'd share it whit the board to see what people think about it. whit the current ward system and how ward jumping works, there is no set up and ''counterplay'' / ability to react to it. now you could argue that in the case of kat and jax there is a trade off in damage as the ward jump is etheir used for escape or catch up and gives up on damage output from the ability used to jump to the ward . that's somewhat fair, lee in my opinion not so much as he still benefits from his passive proc for attack speed buff and energy regen after ward jumping. however, warding totem trinket allows for basicly free wards, and so does sightstone ( yes I'm aware that the downside of using it for ward jump is the trinket cooldown and at least there is a cost involved in sightstone) however there is no set up for it and we see instant plays of ward jump at barely any cost.

now the goal isnt to Q.Q and ask for the removal of the ability of ward jump but simply to offer counterplay to it. before i say the idea, lets compare the ward jump to ward teleport, when someone teleports to a ward there's a delay before the champ arrives and we can see a warning on the minimap. to somewhat even things out, how about we simply make it that placing after a ward is placed, there is a small delay say 5 sec before that ward can be targetted by abilities and red trinket also makes the ward untargetable by ability during trinket use. that way, there's a set up needed before jumping to the ward and a chance of counterplay / moving away from the area where the jump will take place.
