"change the in-game font already," among some other ux-related suggestions
hey rioters who do you have working on the small stuff? anyone? do you have dudes doing Tiny Things just alongside all the Big Important Things because that's how tiny aesthetics quirks get left in the dust. your work touching up the aesthetics of league of legends is all for naught if you continue to ignore the fact that the game still uses Gill Sans for its chat and tooltip typeface correct me if i'm wrong, but it shouldn't be too difficult to swap out the font - unless your linebreaks and rectangle bounding boxes are manually formatted, or something, which i kinda doubt. go ahead and stick fritz quadrata in there too
also the tooltips in general are relatively inconsistent between champions as far as formatting and style and additional information go. i've noticed that they're generally trending towards having auxiliary information put in small "footnote" like formatting recently which is kinda nice actually but there's still a lot of places where there is no standardization
abilities that operate on stacks sometimes do (twitch) and sometimes do not (varus) have a minimum and maximum damage footnote
garen's e is weird because it gives you a total damage first then breaks down where it comes from; can we follow this model for all abilities that have split scalings? (for example: miss fortune's q: "deals 409 100 (+71) (+238) damage (100 plus 100% of total AD plus 35% of AP)")
and let's not get into the inconsistencies between skill tooltips in-game and in the out-of-game client
with all the tweaks to the healthbar frames recently (jhin, annie, corki, graves, etc.) perhaps a HP bar frame texture that's more befitting of such modularity and an update to the general aesthetic of it is in order. (the current frame is pretty generic and not in line with the pop fantasy chic that is league.)
also: more options associated with healthbar displays, perhaps, like an options-toggleable textual HP display attached to the bar somewhere- maybe even only for allies if you feel having enemies' HP broken down for you makes things too easy or something. if not: i would especially like to have these displays when playing around Kled, white shielding, and Kleds with white shielding.
you have an option to turn off the summoner names, why not an option to replace them with the name of the associated champion?
animations and textures probably wouldn't be too difficult to slap on there, if the player wants them. toggle for that too if you find them too distracting. instead of the streak flags, imagine: subtle rising ethereal flames where the name and level of the champion in question are drawn oh, and versions of the frame without the second bar for manaless champions that also do not have anything worth tracking in the second bar. ("katarina has no mp! GET HER"), that should be easy to come up with, i think.
final point, I think I mentioned this before, but the spectator's assets are not aligned properly. the champion icons are not scaled down to fit into the "teamfight display" frames
anyway, just wanted to point some things out in the hope that someone on the team somewhere finds it.
