Very balanced Ryze montage

Looks like URF Ryze Is not in the right gamemode.

They should likely make it so snares in rapid succession have less duration. (so first one is full duration, next one is less up to a minimum snare) Just to avoid that kind of abuse. Sort of like how if Kennen stun where he has a diminished stun after the first.

Woah, did I just see him fully refresh his ult CD during the time of his ultimate? (@ 1:52) Back to back ults does sound rather OP...

The duration of his ult and passive buff (now 6 seconds at all levels) was a very important Qol Buff. Having some actual duration on his abilities makes his kit feel less clunky. I doubt (or at least hope) those figures don't get touched, but they probably fix the perma root and tone his damage a bit.

Pretty sure a highlights video of any champ that makes them look crazy OP. That said, he is probably a little overtuned atm, but I hope they find a better solution than just reverting the 5.10 buffs. It a balancing act with the W though, because if you increase the cooldown you ruin his entire rotation and if you decrease the duration champs will be able to just walk away from him.

That kill by Huni is circulating a lot, but Steve could not have played that worse, Maokai is literally the champ Ryze counters hardest, and Huni burned his flash and 2/3 of his mana pool to get that kill.

yeah that does happen but what did you expect from a guy who has a burst of damage tied to a burst of tankyness and usualy a burst of mobility

if anyything is meant to be nerfed here its ryze's capability to keep people from running away from him because thats the only counterplay his design actual has

he goes into op mode for a few seconds and you run away till the op mode runs out, then you go for him also the op mode should have a certaiin cooldown

Riot should leave Ryze as he be. He was once to be the lowest winrates of all champions, even below Elise.

I think they underestimated the the buff on his passive duration from 3/4/5/6 to 6 seconds while expecting people to max Q instead of W. There is barely a downtime on the snare as seen in the montage. I think an appropriate nerf might be to hit the cooldown of W or the snare duration on higher ranks. Tuning the duration of the passive down again might help maybe something like 4/5/6 so it's still stronger relative to the previous patch.
