What's with all these new/reworked bruiser items being so overloarded?
I am Incredibly biased as I despise every piece of shit melee top laner created.
Anyway, biases stated above I will jump to the point.
Why does it seem like your typical top lane items have so many stats packed into them when they are usually cheaper?
Look at the most basic of top lane items.

It gives:
- Attack Damage (third highest amount as far as items go)
- Cooldown Reduction (20%, the highest amount any single item can give)
- Health (300, pretty crappy however many of them get damage from health [logic mia] and due to their higher base resistances, that 300hp lasts longer on them than it would a midlaner.)
- 30% Armor Reduction (Better than ArmPen, given it benefits entire team)
- Movement speed (On champs who already have higher base movespeeds, and usually get a steroid in kit)
That is 5 stats in a single item.
Or we look at
.
- AD (3rd tier AD again)
- Magic Resist (3rd tier MR again, on champs that already have higher MR because theyre Melee)
- A shield for around 400, which is roughly 15% of their max hp
- Armor Pen
- Lifesteal
- Spell vamp
- Attack Speed.
7 stats in a single item.
If you look at core Marksmen items, like
(2 stats, maybe 3),
(3 stats, maybe 4) and
: probably the most overloaded marksman item giving 5 stats.
Keep in mind Marksmen items are also typically more expensive than tanky items.
The same can be said with AP items, core items like
giving a single stat.
2 stats, also the only viable AP/armor item and a pretty neat active.
I can't help but think the reason so many toplane/jungle champs have higher winrates is because of how efficiently they can itemize compared to other roles.
That is assuming they don't soak the free win and build
an item which heavily favors tops over any other role.
Every time I mention it in game, people just say "No it's not", I never get a realistic response explaining why.. so please help me understand why 1 gold on a mid laner isn't worth half as much as 1 gold on Trundle.
