Stop the blatant hypocrisy of the report system

If you're a toxic little child playing with the random people you are matched with, chances are you are going to get into a dispute and start to hurl insults.

If someone retaliates with an insult, you have both breached the ToS and are now able to be reported. That makes sense, you broke the rules and the community can report you if they deem what you said inappropriate.

Why can someone who is clearly apathetic to what is deemed appropriate (toxic little child in this example) able to judge you and report you, when they can't understand and uphold the rules themselves?

It seems like the way the new system works is

  1. Get shitty feeder
  2. Abuse team
  3. Team retaliates
  4. Report entire team

Everyone gets punished. 'Justice' has been served.

If you have the potential to read and interpret what people have said in a match, you should be able to make certain player's reports void if they are displaying negative behavior.

If two people are arguing with each other, only the other eight players should be able to report them, not the two people who are doing the arguing.

If multiple people start acting up and behaving like jerks then they both get punished for acting like jerks, end of story. Also, a players report value is only deemed worthless if they have a history/habit of making a ton of false reports against people. Also, don't call people names like "halfwits" if you actually want a fair and valid discussion, as that just gives the impression that you don't want anyone that disagrees with you responding.

Just because you break the rules, doesn't mean you don't understand them. On top of that, the warped perception of how the rules work usually only applies to ourselves... We always find exceptions why it's okay that we do that, but not others. Apart from that, sometimes the others are worse and it's clear, even for toxic people, that these individuals should be banned. Kind of a extreme example, but there were cases where burglars called the police after finding child pornography on laptops and cameras they've stolen.

I see a lot of down votes coming, but don't see any response explaining it. Typical reaction from halfwits.

People who don't uphold the summoner's code shouldn't be able to hide behind it.

It would stop the reports out of spite.

So from the amount of downvotes I see that the community has no problem with spite reports.

I really hope I get to play with you all at some stage, so I can provoke you into retaliation and then report you for it :)
