Does ranked and draft enjoy better match quality than blind pick?

..and I'm not referring to aspects such as mirror match ups, or not knowing what you're picking into, these are both to be expected in Blind.

I've been playing Blind for quite some time, since I started playing League, as I didn't consider myself very good mechanically or particularly knowledgeable about champion synergies and weaknesses and so forth, and have been living under the assumption that blind is 'easier' than the Draft, and obviously Ranked, and also therefore less toxic (my thinking being, that if there is less at stake, less pre-match preparation, people will be more chilled - oh how wrong I was).

Have now reached a point where every game I'm playing has really toxic players who seem to go out of their way to disrespect everyone they possibly can, and even worse, AFKers every. single. game. If my team is winning, the enemy team has an AFK. If their team is winning, someone on my team AFKs.

An anecdote/example - feel free to skip: in a match very recently, I called jungle - someone else asked if they could have jg (I said yes), so called support instead - someone else asked if they can have it (I said yes), so I called ADC instead, and went bot, having voluntarily given up both previous lanes I called. The draven, who said nothing in the lobby (who had obviously decided to go ADC without saying anything), then proceeded to repeatedly tell everyone to report me because I called top and went bot, and that I was toxic (completely untrue and maddeningly hypocritical). The problem here being that people might actually listen to him - let's be honest, many players have zero integrity whatsoever. He also did nothing for the team, no kills, didn't join fights, just typed the whole game, while I was trying my hardest, doing the best on the team KDA/pressure wise, even after I gave away both lanes I called (so I'm very much the good guy here, I'd like to think!). Safe to say I wanted to strangle that person by the time the match was over.

Now I decided to forget blind completely and play only draft and ranked (hopefully this will help with people quibbling over lanes/Yasuos auto locking and going mid even though you called it), and if its ranked, hopefully people will be less inclined to AFK the higher you go.

I'm also tired of people surrendering every time the match starts to get hard, as if they want every game to be an easy win (makes you wonder what the average age of players is - shame really) - so I'm hoping this will also be less common. If I could have it my way, I'd remove the surrender option altogether after 20 minutes, and also make the punishment system as intolerant and severe as possible of people who continuously AFK, to force people to grow a backbone and try to fight with their team.

So I ask the league community: Is it much better in draft (I guess I'll soon find out), and more importantly, what level do you have to reach in Ranked where you are no longer around toxic scumbags and childish AFKers and tantrum-throwing FF spammers.

Thanks in advance, and please excuse my venting** :) **

Normals is fine if you are ok with people trolling/playing dumb setups, they probably already do this in blind so not much will change.

As far as toxicity goes it's all about the same.

To answer the question of if ranked will get better the higher up you go. The sad truth is no.

My experience has been that mid-gold is where you get slightly better teammates for ranked, but the ff spammers, afks, and trolls never fully go away.

I hate blind pick. I think draft, either form, is the only way to really play League. I have always found Blind to be the epitome of the toxic cesspool, but I also haven't played it a long time. I haven't played blind pick since, like, season 3, I think.

I’ve always found more trolls in blind. People who have the patience to get through draft already show they are willing to work harder. I usually only blind pick with friends so I know there’s wont be a bunch of bullying and such.
