Hey guys im silver 4 and im wondering if playing on unlock is really that different. I have good map awareness (I check map every time i get a cs) so does it make a difference?

I've played with lock screen since forever, it's just preference I think

I prefer locked screen cause I move my mouse around enough that I will accidentally move the camera really far from my champ. Which is very annoying to me. And I like that my champ is in the center of my screen so I can pay attention to what I am doing

I think it can be.

I actually bound a lock-screen to my T key and use it constantly during a match to fit what I need. But if you're always screen-locked, it will prevent your ability to see the up-close action a screen away. And that can cause you to make bad decisions.

I will say it helped me climb to stop using a locked screen all the time, and I've been thinking about upgrading by just locking my T to "center the screen" so I can play with it always unlocked. I suspect that will help me improve again.

Honestly, you get better information information with it unlocked, ESPECIALLY on purple side. With that said, I've been using locked screen since season 2 LMAO. It's not necessarily a HUGE difference, but you'll definitely want to be sure to pay attention to your minmap. Everything I said is doubled when you're not on blue team. The camera angle for purple side (which I actually think is red now), is totally awful for locked screen. They said back like, five years ago that a camera flip so both sides see the same thing was in the works, but there was never another word about it :p

[EDIT] Holy shit it was actually 9 years ago they said camera swap was coming

TL;DR, locked screen isn't awful, especially not on blue side, but pay attention to your minimap
