i don't understand how people call him weak all you have to do is land your Q and build damage.

Ezreal is fine, he's not entirely weak.

It's just that Twitch, Cait, Varus, Jhin can do the job a lot better and consistently without necessarily having to land their skill shots with the exception being Varus.

But if you can Q as Ez, you mind as well play Varus. His Q doesn't get cock blocked by anything and he has HP% on his W.

Also his R can technically chain 5 memebers on the enemy team, at least guaranteed 1 member.

This could also pressure the enemy into itemizing into QSS, which dips into their gold / damage.

i'll actually take that advice i do land Q a lot and varus does do damage if you land it

You can climb with Ezreal.

But other ADs right now might do the job better.

Unless you like Ezreal's build path / Blink ability, go for it. He has high mobility out of all the ADC's I've mentioned, whatever suits your play style.

It's mainly because of the fact that he is a poke champion. the spam of his q's... Ezreal, zyra etc tend to have the most damage dealt at the end of the game graph, it doesnt mean much. When I play sivir I tend to do most damage because of the spam of her w. believe me, sivir didn't do more damage than vayne that game ^^
