Why do Teemo mushrooms have 160 movespeed and 0.60 attack speed?

Zen Ineth··81 votes·4,626 views

The mushrooms even have 60 bonus move speed from a base of 100. Why do they get bonus move speed? Does it make them spin faster?

And why do they need 10 attack damage? Would they benefit from having Infinity Edge? If they would, what would their attack animation look like

Plot twist: It wasn't his mushroom. It was Reverse Teemo.

A mushroom that drops yordles, good god.

Rito Stealth-Nerfed tthe attack speed of the Nexus a while back.

Didn't even make it into the patch notes. Considering Nexus has a 100% playrate I am surprised that there wasn't more community uproar.

Nah its doing fine even in high ELO. 50% winrate. Some times it doesn't even die in a match. Pretty broken if you ask me.

People simply don't have motivation to kill it. I mean 50 gold really. Better kill that Lucian on killing spree instead.

Yeah i am just happy it doesn't int constantly like most draven mains.

Yes they do benefit from IE. Unfortunately they blow up before they get into attack range.

Literally coded as minions.

is a secret that only teemo mains know, where mushrooms move to your pathing when no one is looking...

"Teemo mains" if only their parents knew the shame they were bringing to their family.

they need these stats to work together so they can bounce. one needs attack damage to have the power to launch the other one while the other one needs movement speed to prepare for the jump. the attackspeed is so they can react intime. I thought this was obvious.

same

They are actually the souls of the dammed that have had to lane against Teemo. They retain some of their stats even after being turned into mushrooms.

Or Riot is preparing for secret buff to teemo... http://stream1.gifsoup.com/view4/4617352/dark-souls-mushroom-o.gif

Because they're coded as minions

Man, who knows, must be a coding bug or something!

Now I'm curious to see what a shroom with 1000 movespeed looks like.

All Day Tay Tay3 votes

why do you think they are always where your going to walk?

BlueBilberry2 votes

The move speed seems odd - but could be just an extension of Teemo's current rating (at the time you saw them). As for the attack speed, that's connected to their current DoT (as well as Teemo's current AS). At least, so I suspect.

But their attack damage...

I don't suppose these are mushrooms that can bite people?

DarkRitual1 votes

Do they have AP as well? Could the stats be Teemo's bonus stats being reflected on them?

Spaceman5pff1 votes

They do not have AP. At least they didn't the last time I looked.

DarkRitual1 votes

Then they are obvious hidden power and need nerfed soon(tm).

Pakku Ito 2 votes

they are coded as minions, that's why they have those stats.

In honesty I have a strong feeling it has to (or use to) deal with Animation Code. Champions animated differently based on their movement/attack speed and since everything is programmed like a minion mushrooms where most likely programmed to animated that way.

And mushrooms would probably attack like Toad from Mario, sqauling and screeching.

All of the comments here are full of win. first time comments section of gameplay didn't' make me want to commit seppuku.

Catrian2 votes

Weird, reminds me of those plants in Ragnarok that were otherwise stationary and would not attack you under normal circumstances but had enough attack speed to effectively stunlock your character if they somehow found a way to move(Via GM shenanigans).Though thankfully the Teemo shrooms aren't anywhere near that bad.

Unless they somehow found a way to move, then the slow invisible encroaching death would be horrifying.

Meep Man2 votes

Only Teemo mains knows this, but they secretly move towards you slightly if you are near them.

ReZisT Lust1 votes

Had you not noticed that even when you dont touch them they blow up that just means they ran into range

Noblewind1 votes

Because they're actually corrupted Yordles that teemo cooked in his Satan cauldron

I wonder, does the movement speed dictate how fast they go when you throw them?

Strawberrycocoa1 votes

I would hazard a guess they "attack" you to produce their damage effect? *shrug*

They contain the trapped spirits of Meglings.
