Stealing a junglers buffs/camps without their say-so IS griefing

And it should not be considered toxic behaviour to call for reports on that person, since it is actively preventing a player from being a relevant part in a team.

Edit: Let me clarify. Taking a camp here or there while your lane is pushed up or you have towers gone and farming lane isn't viable is fine. When it's nearing mid-game, and your jungler still needs a buff for exp/passive bonus, and you persist in taking the buff while they're dead, even when they ask you to stop...that's griefing.

I dont mind giving up buffs to laners but ONLY if they're earned it. They'll hear an earful if they're something like 0-7-1 and just steal it because they're just a buff delivery system to the enemy. if they're up a kill or 2 during laning then sure I'll hand it over since they can prove they dont just derp it away and actually know what theyre doing.

I dont mind them taking side camps when they have a spare 15 seconds and not enough time to roam, but 2 conditions:

FINISH THE CAMP in order for it to respawn when I rotate back to that side. Stupid to leave a small wolf or a few raptors because they wanted to get back into lane. It's what enemy junglers do to you to get you behind in exp and gold and theyre doing a favor for the other team. Same goes for Krugs, stupid to kill the big Krug then walk away because they didnt have time to finish it. Entire camp then despawns wasting all of the gold/exp just for a fraction of it
I'm not doing the camp! I hate it when I'm working on a camp like Gromp then ADC walking back to lane just snipe last hits it because "I'M-ADC-MOST-IMPORTANT-ROLE--NEED-TO-BE-FED-EVERYTHING". Fuck that man

Starts doing Blue at level 5 with no smite and low mana due to ganking bot Swain is 0-4 against mid yasuo and starts heading to blue Back pings and says "I need this for level 6 so I can gank Yasuo" Swain Proceeds to take the buff anyway since Vi had low mana and no smite

30 seconds later

" Swain has been slain!"

Actually happened to me last week. It was the most aggravating thing that has happened to me in a while. I communicated twice that I needed it, once by ping and once by chat, and he still just walked up and took it and almost immediately gave it to Yasuo. People need to be respectful of others. It IS a team game, but that does not mean your needs come before everyone's. If the jungler needs the buff, let them have it, jesus.

It's all about perspective.

E.G. 9-3 Cassiopeia takes blue 35 minutes in. Totally justified. 1-2 Vayne needs to catch up so takes gromp. Maybe justified, more is needed. 1-7 Yorick toplane starts clearing jungle becuase his lane opponent is pushing. No, Get back there and deal with it. 0-16 Yasuo takes blue buff. Wtf.

Lol taking blue/red isn't griefing and it's not toxic. If it was, then any jungler taking any laner's creeps without their say-so is griefing and is toxic and should be reported aswell? amirite?

As bad as it feels to get counterjungled, it really isn't griefing. It's a perfectly acceptable and viable strategy.

Low level player problems.

I mean, yeah, its annoying when some douche steals a camp you were just about to take or your jungler smites that cannon minion after the play in lane to push to tower, but at least these resources were acquired by YOUR team and made them stronger as opposed to being acquired by the opposing team to make THEM stronger.

Junglers, learn to share your resources, the camps you don't need or can't reach in time, let your laners grab them while you finish off your play in a lane on the opposite side of the map. Laners, learn to share resources after a play is made in lane and push to tower so you can take the objective or back safely with wave priority.

you can say its griefing cuz the jungler needs those camps as an xp or you can ask to give you then np but taking them from him without asking him early game when he needs them for the xp when you have a lane can be a griefing

If you're top side and the jungler is bot side and you take gromp, gromp's respawn timer will usually have it respawn before the jungler gets back to it.

Additionally, sometimes you might be forced out of lane and bullied by your opponent every-time you even try to get CS, at which point, taking a jungle camp is your only option to try and stay afloat. It's only griefing if it is intended as griefing.

I get what Riot was going for by shifting so much of the jungle exp into raptors, but there's a significant flaw with doing that: it's the camp most likely to be stolen, either by the enemy team or your own mid laner. Loading so much exp into the most accessible jungle camp on the map is a huge mistake.

LUL ONLY if its pre level 9. After level 9 all lanes are free game for jg to push and all jg free for lanes.

If I'm playing top and I've gotten ganked by their jg 3 times (without dying) and you still have not showed up, I'm either taking krugs or gromp, depending on the side. Then I might take blue/red buff as well. If you're not going to help me, then I'm going to help myself. Now sure, if the person is just running around taking all the jg camps for no reason because he lost 1v1 and you didn't camp his lane, he is trolling.

In my opinion, asking for reports is never "toxic" lol. That's so overly sensitive in my opinion.

Yeah I HATE when your team is taking your jg. I mean you already typically fight against the enemy for your jungle cause most of the time they try to counter jg.

The moment you smite a jg they started killing or are about to kill all of the sudden its your fault for ks'ing YOUR OWN jungle lol.

Doesn't it depend on when in the game it is? I'm low, low, low, but I watch a lot of youtube junglers and they never have a problem giving up their buffs after the 1st blue/red one.

I'm more interested in learned how to deal with the jungler that won't leave my lane. I don't want to piss him off so he doesn't come back, but I also want my farm.

now i jus tplayed a game as amumu, we had a diana mid that was well beyond ahead vs a zed, with diana really winning lane hardcore, and a varus bot that was 5-0 until 15 mins, when it hit 13 mins, diana started taking my jg as i was clearing it, i asked her to stop, and she didnt say anything, but continued to take my jg, every time a camp spawned she ran to it and cleared it as fast as she possibly could and i couldnt do anything about it besides smite once, here clear was way to fast for me to do anything about and she was trolling me 100%, aswell as varus had also started helping her take my jg when she was on one side he was on the other, i had absolutely no way to farm between the 3 of them (diana varus and trundle)this caused me to fall behind incredibly fast because she refused, i could not invade because their jg was trundle and we all know amumu cant fight trundle, not when hes 4-0 anyway. needless to say, when people steal a jgs camps like this, it should be bannable, because it is toxic, your forcing your jg out of xp, making them fall behind, allowing enemy jg to invade super easy and kill the 2 lvls below friendly jg and he cant do jack shit about it. he cant stay in lane cause his team flames when he tries, and he cant go back to jg cause diana takes it all and trundle kills him. if you say is not punishable then its plain outright stupid because i could get banned for playing jg role but not even entering jg once.
