I Just Want Vorpal Blade Back(Shen)

Ok straight to the point. I know ppl hated vorpal blade bc it made Shen’s lane phase very uninteractive and basically made it impossible for him to lose lane. That was awhile back before the game was changed. The thing is it’s not like he did damage then. His sustain was all he had in lane as his scaling was worse. The problem is now they have nerfed his base stats and his new q to the point where he literally can’t do shit in lane unless you seriously outplay the opponent. They kept nerfing his q dmg to minions making it harder for him to farm? What’s the point? You can say “well he has to be gated bc of his ult” which is true except they also nerfed that so his level 1 ult shield feels laughable now. So now you have a guy with literally no range and 2 long cd basic abilites and has a situational at best W, clunky sword mechanic, literally the lowest base stats of any tank in the game while being the only tank with 0 waveclear. I just feel that if you’re gonna rework him to be more of a duelest then nerf his dueling potential lol at least give him some sustain back bc it’s ridiculous at the moment.

Ive been begging for a ranged Q for months now, Shen is outmatched by every toplaner this meta.

A champion with that much global presence should not have a energy cost ranged point click ability that also gives sustain. That is way too much. So overloaded it is ridiculous and is why it was changed in the first place.

Please go and play Shen couple of times, and make sure you actually have decent opponent on top lane, then come back and say he doesn't need something like Vorpal Blade.

I played Shen for freelo back before his rework. He was unhealthy. I still personally don't think She is healthy. I don't believe his ultimate should be global. Make it like TF range. He feels like shit in lane and I know that. He can't feel good in lane because he is too insane with his global presence. He has to give up lane dominance to be that strong globally. Also Riven is not overloaded at all. To even be decent at her at medium to high level play you have to be able to do all of her animation cancels with about a 95% success rate. She is beyond tedious to learn and play.

I was talking about abilities and what they're offering to champs i named. Idc bout how hard/easy those champs are. Champs that I gave as an example can provide a lot more than shen, no matter what state he's in.

No Riven does not she offers little CC and damage that's it. Shen offers a life saving giant shield and TP, a taunt, and basic attack resistant zone. He offers way more than Riven.

Yea, that 175 shield with 200 sec cd is a real life saver, which can be cancelled by any sort of cc. And his 'basic attack resistant zone' is usefull to shen only, not a tf ability, and it just reflects aa. I would take Noc's and Fiora's W over Shen's any day.

Riven has 51% wr with 8.5% pick rate, while Shen sits at 48% with 3.6 pick rate. Yea, shes sooooooo bad compared to Shen poor riven xDDDDDDD

First off the shield scales with missing health and becomes massive, secondly his W works for allies in the zone, third I said make his ultimate like TF range so you can give him back some laning power, and lastly that is situational.

We were talking about who offers more. Shen offers more to a team than Riven. We are not talking about win rate. I never said Riven was bad. I said she is not worth playing unless you can nearly perfect all of her animation cancels. Looking purely at win rate and play rate doesn't do anything when you have so many other factors going on.
