poke mages champs
how do you play them there no fun...

how do you play them there no fun...

Sona is tied for the lowest base damage of the entire support class and overall does less damage than literally everyone other than Braum. What she does isn't even good enough to be considered poke, you're more likely to die from minion aggro than from a Sona using her full combo on you.
If by "No fun" you mean being completely useless to your own team, well some people enjoy intentionally trolling. That's why I have to report every Sona for assisting the enemy team, locking her in is synonymous to this.

Actual reality is math, not 3rd-party propaganda. Math proves me correct. #SorryNotSorry

The damage Sona actually ends up dealing in a game is not irrelevant in a conversation about how much damage Sona deals. In fact, statistics from reality ALWAYS trump theoretical math.
There's nothing theoretical about numbers taken directly from champions' info pages. At 40 damage, Sona has the lowest base of the entire support class. With only 2 damage sources, she has less total damage output than every support that isn't Braum. These are facts, whether you're willing to admit it or not. Arrogantly and closemindedly continuing to pretend the truth doesn't exist won't make it go away.

It's all theoretical because it says nothing about how easily and constantly she can deal her damage in the actual game. Every time her Q cooldown is up she can pop it for safe and easy damage and it adds up over the course of a match. If you want a support that contributes damage to the game you should pick Sona and the statistics support this.
All that link shows is that Sona has among the lowest damage in one rotation of spells (excluding ultimates). It says nothing about ease of actually getting that damage on a champion (skill shot versus point and click vs however you want to describe Sona's Q) or how often you can use the rotation based off of mana pool and cooldowns.
...and then they pick Malphite and Vi.....
- Learn to aim (2 effort)
- Learn to position (7 effort)
- Watch your enemies die before they even get in range = Priceless!

i get what you suppost to do w but how is that fun staying back and hoping you don't get flanked and cast spells at max range
has more interesting gameplay then most poke mages
Sona at least has a rhythm to maintain when using abilities, and changing your rhythm changes how you harass the enemy

Yea or you can do what most player do get 3 Q auto with sheen
I usually switch it up since you do end up using your other abilities too
I usually initiate with 1 stack on my passive... I hit E to close in, Q, auto, then W to lessen whatever damage they dealt to you... Sometimes It is necessary to lower an enemy's damage output with the W chord, or slow with the E chord (especially if you use liandry's)
Wards + map awareness = KNOW if you are getting flanked or not (even though warding is shit this season) Do well, and your spells actually kill people without you taking damage! Killing champions is funny!
I am curious, what is the reason for your thread - if they are not fun, do'nt play them and play fun champs!? I personally find splitpushing very boring, so i simply don't play splitpushers. Poke mages are by no means strong or FTOM now, so you are in no way "forced to" pick them
Because some people find fun in watching in the enemy desperately try to get to you before you kill them.
Sona is fun and relatively easy to get used to... Just make sure to auto after Q and watch your passive.
