AD vs AP and Riot's Clear Bias
is older then most of the current reworked champions in the game and yet, because he has a polarising, either overpowered or underpowered kit, Riot do not bother to change him at all. Meanwhile he's free to spam speed and get rewarded for having absolutely no skill in the game at all.
Take ARAM for an example, if you are unfortunate to have no hard point and click, reliable CC (which Riot is making rarer and rarer) then you are pretty much boned. Things like the old
stun were necessary. Yi basically acts like a hyperactive child in the game and its a playstyle that is very toxic.
He as a champion is not strong, its just the sheer power that he gets from the (frankly broken) AD items that were introduced this season. (Riot love AD's so much that they give them pretty much the best items in the game while completely neglecting AP with a pathetic "mage rework" that did nothing but break champions that were reliable and good - i.e.
)
is just an example of why AD items are overpowered at the moment, he or
are both very item reliant and their status in the game is usually a good way to judge how powerful some items are.
There is also a clear INTENTIONAL lack of AP/Armor items in the game. AP champions get spellseeker's armguard while AD champs can get
which already has a powerful, free shield built into it. Meanwhile
gives no additional effect. Oh and lets not forget that AP was removed from
so mages cannot build that either.
Both
and
were created during the rework (both have lackluster actives when you compare them to something like
) and I would have thought Riot would put armor on one or both of them but obviously not. (We have enough items that give health,
and
etc).
Also note that both
and
give MR out as a aura but there is absolutely no aura item that gives an anti-armor aura. Its just another example of Riot's bias towards AD champions.

and
on these posts... They both give an attack speed debuff which means less incoming AD damage just like how
