AD vs AP and Riot's Clear Bias

MasterYi is older then most of the current reworked champions in the game and yet, because he has a polarising, either overpowered or underpowered kit, Riot do not bother to change him at all. Meanwhile he's free to spam speed and get rewarded for having absolutely no skill in the game at all.

Take ARAM for an example, if you are unfortunate to have no hard point and click, reliable CC (which Riot is making rarer and rarer) then you are pretty much boned. Things like the old Taric stun were necessary. Yi basically acts like a hyperactive child in the game and its a playstyle that is very toxic.

He as a champion is not strong, its just the sheer power that he gets from the (frankly broken) AD items that were introduced this season. (Riot love AD's so much that they give them pretty much the best items in the game while completely neglecting AP with a pathetic "mage rework" that did nothing but break champions that were reliable and good - i.e. Velkoz)

MasterYi is just an example of why AD items are overpowered at the moment, he or XinZhao are both very item reliant and their status in the game is usually a good way to judge how powerful some items are.

There is also a clear INTENTIONAL lack of AP/Armor items in the game. AP champions get spellseeker's armguard while AD champs can get item 3155 which already has a powerful, free shield built into it. Meanwhile item 3191 gives no additional effect. Oh and lets not forget that AP was removed from item 3025 so mages cannot build that either.

Both item 3030 and item 3152 were created during the rework (both have lackluster actives when you compare them to something like item 3147) and I would have thought Riot would put armor on one or both of them but obviously not. (We have enough items that give health, item 3027 and item 3116 etc).

Also note that both item 3190 and item 3060 give MR out as a aura but there is absolutely no aura item that gives an anti-armor aura. Its just another example of Riot's bias towards AD champions.

I do find that the lack of an armor ap item other than zhonya's is a bit disturbing. Otherwise, though, I think that riot's issue is simply an overabundance of damage, rather than an overabundance of broken champs. If all the items got a blanket nerf, I think it would be fine

Yeah using ARAM was just about the worst example you could use. The most powerful champs in ARAM are almost all AP, and AD normally gets boned in fights on the howling abyss but are necessary cause they're the ones that take the towers... Also people like to over look item 3143 and item 3110 on these posts... They both give an attack speed debuff which means less incoming AD damage just like how item 3190 and item 3060 reduce incoming AP damage. Also have you seen the burst coming off item 3152 ?

the reason ap's cant have armor is so crit doesn't become worthless on adc's

apparently its ok for them to 2shot us with all the 2k crits they get. or 1 shot right click if we build full ham.
