Im so tired of riven. Every season she is a top pick for top. Having one of the most toxic kits in the game doesn't hurt neither does being with Lee in the Riot Pet Characters pool. Champions like them are considered cool to watch so their problem kits never get fixed. Only real counter play to riven is banning or staying out of her way.

The Sword Saint2 votesYou're just bad. I'm sorry, but it's true. League isn't team death match and different champions have different strengths and weaknesses. Rivens strength is specifically laning against low range opponents. You can choose to pick low range champions who have weaker early game's then rivens and try to fight her and die over and over like a noob, or do literally anything else and have a reasonable chance to win the game.
Things like playing passive and outscaling her, taking a champion who bullies her from range (kennen, quin come to mind), picking a similarly strong laning top champion (old darius, renekton, pantheon, etc), picking a safe farming champ and teleporting around the map to make plays, controlling the minion wave to freeze at your tower, buying some fucking defence, all come to mind just off the top of my head.
That doesn't even get into raw mechanics like how to trade well as any given champ since you've already established that you only like to fight to the death all day, but assuming you learned that you could take armor and potions and with good trades outsustain her and force to to go back to base and heal which gives you a level and gold advantage and maybe even some damage on her tower.
...or you could rush to lane to all in her every 10 seconds and die and make threads about how op she is.
Shonjl1 votesWith what? The 0 kills you gave her? She can only tower dive if you are extremely low which shoudl never happen if you aren't going all in on her and if she has kills. If you aren't in either case, she will die from said tower dive. And be lucky if she takes you with her.
Also a common thing I see is people are aggressive against a riven that has ignite. If you see her have ignite, you know she wants to be aggressive, don't fall for the obvious, make her waste that ignite by not allowing her a chance at all to fight, sure you may lose some cs staying in tower but once laning is over, that ignite is a liability now vs your teleport which can change entire battles.

How do you even get early all-ined as Panth and Malph, unless you're terribad that shouldn't happen. As Panth you just throw your Q whenever it's up, as Malph you play like a wuss until you have armor and she's screwed because she can't snowball anymore.

Then THIS is your problem when playing against Riven, you value kills too highly and get fucked in the process. l2play safe is my tip here. Try playing Kassadin, a champion who relies on good freezes in front of his turret and surviving a weak laning phase to get to his powerful point should give you a good idea on how to play against Riven.
PS: I've never given up a solo kill against a Riven ever since I learned how to play Kassadin, you learn a powerful playstyle using him.

Shonjl2 votesIts called you arent learning. You don't fight every champ the same. Its not called be a puss for 20 minutes, its called being smart. Riven's early game is very strong, her mid to late game is trash unless she gets kills. If you don't allow her kills, she will be forced to either roam to mid since Riven often gets ignite over teleport, giving you valuable gold and possibly tower, or she will lose any chance she has to be of any threat late game. Most Riven's know this and will actually get desperate and will tower dive you, and if you have half a brain and built some armor and even some damage and aren't low, you will win every trade with her.
With the mindset you have, you really shouldn't be top, top is usually tanks which are meant to be patient and not worried about kills, if you think kills= everything, you should be ADC or mid.

and also . Play with what you like to do don't complain about it find a way around it, my only advice I could give you about how much you hate Riven is cc her champions like ,

etc. You could also stack armor against her but that would defeat the purpose of trying to out dool her as the main goal. Send me an invite and I will do spar matches with you as riven or as against. I my self have trouble against her in some matchups.

Even without the pull though, just wait for her to get close. You're tanky which means she can't burst you quickly. You just need 3 or 4 hits to make her bleed and then ult (or go for the 5th hit to make sure it's at its best) and she's dead. If you can't beat Riven with Darius she's either diamond rank or you really don't know how to play Darius.

It's not hard to hit his skills he just tickles now, that and every riven I've played just slides away from or in to the handle of the q and comes in to out trade you. He lost his luster
