I am just depressed by how much this community has become so toxic, I have been playing League since 2009, and it's been a fun ride, but since "meta" has started coming out, I have seen a grow in the little kids that play this game. First blood comes out and you hear/see "GG noob insert name" then it just goes downhill, you can't control your team, making the game less and less fun, I ask you, Riot, what do you plan on doing about this? Even now, I can tell what people will say about this post, and Riot, I like that you have tried to make this game better, and more fun, your efforts have not gone unnoticed, but it's clearly not enough, the toxicity of this community has gotten out of hand.

Kids (and those who never matured) will do as kids often do; anything they can get away with.

My suggestion is to try running with a group of "friends" (in quotation, as they can be IRL friends, or ones you enjoyed a match with and sent a friend invite). Try Team Builder or other premade Normals, or a full Ranked team with them and no randoms. This is the best and likely only way to avoid the trolls.

The second option, if you want to continue Solo queue, would be immediately mute anyone who starts being toxic. Never engage them. Try to work with them, and return their flaming with sincere kindness and teamwork, but never respond with the same thing you hate no matter how they deserve it (it only intensifies the problem for the rest of your team). This, while not a foolproof course of action, is quite effective when used properly. Fire hurts trolls in Dungeons and Dragons, but feeds them in League of Legends.

In my profession the toxicity of this game is child's play. Literally the people that are toxic in this game are children.

I get told almost everyday i am a murderer i should f-myself and i am the worst person on this planet. So i find it really funny when people tell me are you mad bro. Usually i am not and vary content with myself.

That being said responding or communicating with trash is just crazy. Trash doesn't speak.

Well, for one the community =/= the game.

I'm so tired of people complaining about negative things people say..there's an ignore button for a reason. Hell, you can even move your chat box off screen..its not hard

Why the Tribunal was outright removed at this point is beyond me, that being said, there isn't ever going to be a way to remove 100% of toxicity.

What about the fact that half the league champion roster is useless? All I keep seeing are the same champs game after game. And since I don't conform to that I just get wrecked because I like to play champs I think are fun.

Tribunal got removed due to a bug with how it was processing cases too slowly, so instead of say it doing 100 per day as an example it was doing like 5. As Jamaree said you're never going to remove 100% toxicity from the game or any game for that matter. You can only limit it's influence as best you can. Now if you want to talk about toxic communities then SCII, Hon and Dota have that hands down.

Half the roster isn't useless since they still get played, it's just FOTM/ personal favorites/what the pro's play. You can easily play what you like and still have fun and yes you'll get wrecked from time to time but if you choose to only play the same chaps knowing that you're getting counter picked that's not Leagues fault. There's lots of fun champs to play that can fulfill multiple roles.

Also you can queue with friends, make friends and add them to play with, don't be negative back since you're just adding fuel to the fire, report the jerks after the game since Riot is handing out stuff almost instantaneously now. That's not to say there isn't toxicity there is but you can mitigate it as well.
