Ivern - thoughts and opinions ( would love to hear Riot's thoughts as well )

So.... Ivern... why does he feel so useless? Ive played some games with him ( after the buff hotfix ) and then stopped because i couldn't find a way to make him as impact-full as other junglers. In team fights he feels like he does nothing except shield his allies. Daisy dies so fast, its really difficult to use his passive. Even when in a bush his auto range is pretty short compared to other champions. His ganks aren't that bad, but other than that, its a struggle. I think i've only won 1 game with an Ivern on my team, and even then that Ivern didn't do much. Ivern honestly feels incomplete to me in some way, i don't know how else to describe it. xD

What could be done to help Ivern out. Make him a ranged champion all the time and increase his auto range a little bit and give him some other benefit for standing in a bush. Make Daisy more tanky. Increase daisy's attack speed. Increase Ivern's scalings/base stats more. Now im not saying do all of this at once. That may result in one Op tree man xD. But gradually making some of these changes over time until Ivern feels like he is in a good spot would be a great way to go about it. Ivern just feels very underwhelming, but he has a very fun concept.

Feel free to agree or disagree, this is just my experience and thoughts on Ivern and everyone I've talked to share similar thoughts.

early level 2 cheese bot lane with either red or blue buff. instant clear with smite. head on over and see what you can get with shield + stun + gap closer.

give your top laner or adc red. hell, mid laner can take it too, whoevers available, its free buffs.

build mobis as you do a ton of backtracking.

you can invade an unwarded enemy buff and instantly clear it

you can summon daisy just to solo tank a dragon (just your jungle item)

summon daisy before you go in, she lasts long enough, prep her before hand.

max your bush second. even after a failed gank you can place all 3 brushes walling off a lane forcing the enemy laner out of lane entirely or face check a brush or burn his ward.

SHIELD OFTEN, its only on a 6 second CD, spam it. 240 may not seem like much but it adds up over time and over a fight.

dont build pure ap, build a mix of ap/health.

cdr/mana aren't needed, like at all.

brush on top of low hp allies so they can escape or stop getting targeted by the enemy adc.

He is pretty bad at the moment, but I still think people don't know how to play him or how to itemize with him yet.

People think he is bad, but like someone said before, he can early steal a buff and get your top lane going. Build him tank first and just add a Crystal Sep and Nash Tooth for damage and you will make anyone sad. If there is a Rengar on your team he will have leapgasims
