FPS drops

I hope I'm posting this in the right place >.<

Ever since patch 7.5 went live I've been experiencing FPS drops in game that hover around 22 - 30 fps instead of my usual 40 - 50 fps and the frames just come out choppy. I know its not a champion specific issue as I played 2 games, one as Xin Zhao and one as Tristana and both games i had the same issue. Please looks into this. Can't really play with these kind of fps drops.

Hey, Im having same issue but with every champ... I have also tried setting lowest details, no result. FPS just goes from stable 60 to unstable 35-40, but it looks like less than 15, it goes randomly.

I have exactly the same problem...and it cant be my settings or my pc, as I turned Vsync off. I usually play with about 230-300 fps but since patch 7.4 it sometimes dropped to 20-30 fps randomly...since patch 7.5 it constantly happens and makes the game unplayable! I also tried low settings and it doesnt change anything

Why isnt riot attending to this?? clearly there are so many people struggling with this issue and riot just seems to turn the other cheek. we need to get this thread noticed. ive been having the same problem since the winter update im not sure why but everything has just gone to shit man.

Yeah I have solid 50-60 fps and the moment I enter combat, my fps drops to less than 20. Happens with minions, monsters, enemy champions. And no in-game setting changes haven't fixed the problem because it's a bug that has to do with player-game UX not player-game UI. Unless I'm mistaken

Same here, its like a short burst of lost frames for me, its as if half a second of action just fast forwards. Tried everything, checked all my drivers, repaired client, still nothing. This makes league very unfun as I play for the reactive close fights, and this has ruined multiple by just deciding to skip the vital frames needed for plays. Really annoying how many patch glitches I've had since starting this game.

I'm having the same issue, as well. Previously, I ran the game with 'Medium-High' graphics, full screen, no v-sync, 60 fps capped (can reach 120). Since the patch, my fps tends to linger around 20-30 fps but can drop to as low as 5. I've tried:

  • repairing
  • re-installing league
  • lowest graphics settings, lowest resolution, all fancy glitter stuff off
  • going borderless
  • setting league client to 'high priority' or whatever through task manager
  • running league client as administrator
  • prioritizing performance on windows
  • updating windows
  • re-installing my graphics drivers

The latter-most gave me momentary joy and 80 fps the following game; however the fps drop issue returned again mid-game and persisted. Re-installing the drivers again didn't yield the same results. I'll try switching to legacy client now since I'm desperate. :') I'm a Windows 10 baby, btw, if it matters.

EDIT: Legacy client tried, FPS still booty.

Ok guys. I have same problem, and I see what fps lock didn't work!!! Before I lock fps in lol 8 month ago I had same problems with lags and today I saw 68fps then play in normals(and my 1st think is wtf!?!?!? I have 60fps lock). If I try lock on 30 fps my fps anyway will 20-60. I think problem in this, but maybe I`m alone with this problem, check pls. But only today after patch 7.5 I had hard fps lagging.

Having the same problem here too! It was fine but now I have fps averaging 15-30 but as low as 7!

I have been having this issue since 7.4, I don't know if it is an issue with changing my battery since I had to around that time since my other one started to swell but even if it was the cause my fps got even worse in 7.5 even running the graphics at even lower settings than before.

My laptop is a high quality HP and I have only had it since Christmas. My ping was all the way close to 190-200 when I first got it and with the higher/medium quality selected. But recently that's not the case, and my ping has dropped down to 130-100. What I have also been experiencing is that when I enter the Drake/Dragon pit or get into areas with mass amounts of action such as a team fight, my FPS drops dramatically down to 50-20 FPS and it becomes hard to manage. I have my lowest settings possible selected, and I still am given the same results. I even went as far as to close everything possible, other than the client itself and it has also yielded no results. I have yet to repair the client but it seems that many, if not all, have tried and that too has done nothing to resolve the issue.

I am having the same issue, before the winter patch I had around 220-230 fps, with setting on very high. Now I run at very low with 60 fps which then drops to 20 every 2 seconds or so. Please riot notice thsese flaws. :c item 3070

I have a problem where if I do the wrong thing and accidentally slide league a bit into the next screen, it lags for about 5 minutes and even though it lists me as being at 60 frames per second, it plays like 2.

I go from 235 to 40ish. That says a lot about how bad this is....

Riot fix this shit please

BeMyGoat3/24/2017, 9:51:02 PM1 votes

same ...

Nobio3/26/2017, 9:58:53 AM1 votes

RIOT PLZ!!! Same shit as last season. It will take them 3 months to admit they had a bug on their end after tons of people report the same problems and try to do everything to fix it to no avail. You would think a company as big as Riot should be able to patch these kind of things before their updates go live.

Same Issue Only happens in dragon pit fps goes from 80stable to 45-59. also i get drops when i visit a certain spot on the map for the first time (i.e Blue buff, red raptor camp. BUT ONLY ONE TIME).

pl914/19/2017, 9:37:41 AM1 votes

i know this is a late reply, but personally i usually hover around 100 fps, then drop at random points in the game to 15-17 fps for 4-5 seconds,to go back to 100 fps afterwards.I have no idea what is the problem.i could play witcher 3 on very high settings at 60 fps,i doubt its a performance problem.

What OS do you play league of Legends on?
