I have some pretty cool Malphite rework ideas that will make him less annoying to play against the majority of champs

Passive : gains 10 percent of his hp as a shield

Q : Rock Flip : either can flip the enemy away or towards malphite (aoe) Slows and instantly casts. This is slightly healthier than malphites old q. Yes you still can't react to it as it is instant but it does not give malphite a movement speed buff, and slows you, it only slows you. It also has a certain range and does not follow you like a homing missile even after your out of range. Making it instant means that Malphite could also miss as you could walk forward (predicting him wanting to launch you back.) The new q can also flip targets away from him allowing support malphite to be more viable (especially with the new e) or can help him escape ganks since your ult was changed.

W: You still take an extra percentage of your armor as more armor and triple it as long as your passive is up. But unlike the old version where you gain the ability to do more damage for 5 seconds in a wave it is unhealthy to add the burst his first auto provides. it throws many players off guard and after that the damage in lane is mediocre and when pushed under tower can cause problems when farming. The new version can be a set amount of autos like 3 and deal more damage. This will make malphites laning phase against other tanks a lot easier as it is frustrating that malphite beats most brusiers but loses to almost every tank. Most tanks usually thrive in short trades where they can get there damage in and slow you down so you cannot trade back. This is an issue for malphite as his w lasts for 5 seconds. Although his q gives a ms buff, this ms buff is affected by slows like sion e, chogath e, volibear e, etc. Making him have 3 more powerful autos when he activates w will allow him to trade better against other tanks but will lower his damage output by a good amount. Of course the scalings for w are going to be worse the more you level it up or his 3 autos with w when combined with the new ult are going to feel like hes an assassin. Or we could also make the number of autos go up and the damage ratios and scalings with armor go down so you still get more damage when you level up w because more empowered autos but it would be the same damage from a level or 2 before of this ability.

E : Earthquake Slam : Knocksback all enemies from malphite (aoe) (kinda like volis roar. Since he's going to be reworked it'd be cool if they add the ability to malphite. This will perform the same as old volibears e meaning it can cancel engages or escapes like trist w or zac e.

R: The Mountain : Malphite will make his passive (a shield that is 10% of his hp) and will add another percentage to granite shields amount 10%,20%,30%, additional granite shield hp. This will make malphite have more consistent damage. His damage scales with armor so once your passive falls down he loses a big chunk of being tanky and damage. With this new ultimate theres more fun for everyone as malphite gets to be tankier, keeping his armor and adding more hp to him at the same time it feels good that the enemy does not get hit by an ult that you can't react too. Granted the percentages could be tweaked significantly lower as it might be a bit broken giving a tank 40% of their hp as a shield.

I feel like this version of malphite is a lot healthier for the game. It will make ap malphite a lot less viable (although nerfed, people are still going it) and removes the part of his kit where even if he feeds hes still useful to the team no matter what. Of course with the removal of his ult I had to add some cc back into his kit and make abilities like his q aoe. It is also a lot more realistic to call the ultimate "the mountain" where he gets tankier than see a giant mountain coming at you with light speeds. (honestly no mountain can do that.) Adding hard cc to his kit actually makes aftershock malphite pretty viable as if you took it before the only way to activate aftershock was from your ult, meaning no worth out of the laning phase.
