Concerning the new item

Gargoyle Stoneplate Aims to make tanky champions especially durable in the context of a teamfight, without making them so durable in solo play. Cost: 2500g (980g upgrade) Build Path: Chain Vest, Negatron Cloak Effects: +40 Armor +40 Magic Resist Unique Passive - Stone Skin: If 3+ enemy champions are nearby, grants +40 Armor and Magic Resist Unique Active - Metallicize: Increases maximum and current Health by 40% and increases champion size, but reduces damage dealt by 60% for 4 seconds (90 second cooldown). If Stone Skin is active, the Health increase becomes 100% instead.

Just one thing I really want to make sure Riot does not oversee. Will they make the self damage reduction apply to true damage? Outliers like Cho'gath and Darius are probably factors that nobody wants to see abuse the new tank item like this.

If this item makes it through the PBE cycle without considerable nerfs, it's going to be a Redemption 2.0 scenario where Riot releases a blatantly broken item onto the live servers then does nothing about it because they want to "wait and see how it affects the overall landscape". Then they'll finally nerf it several patches after waiting a comically long time while doing nothing about it. It's obvious to even many of the bronze and silver players who post on these boards that this item is beyond broken, yet the designers themselves who work on this game allow these kinds of unhealthy items to exist.
