Wtf happened to Ascension?

It used to be whoever killed Xerath won the ascension. Now it's whoever can sit their dumb a$$ in the middle of the circle and not die is who gets ascended. It honestly ruins the game mode when tanks just wait for you to kill Xerath and then walk in and take the ascension because you can't kill them fast enough.

?Then dont die while the tank is in the middle Chances are, if you kill Xerath, you have a number advantage so you can just kill the tank

Well tbh sniping it with Lux from base wasnt fun either. Both solutions are really dumb but I am not creative neough to think of something good tbh
