Dude u are silver... People dont get boosted to silver. They get boosted to get out of silver. New players with no skill at all have mmr of silver once they get lvl 30

Be it as it may, you wont know difference. How will u know if someone in silver is "boosted" to silver? Silver is still low skill. Almost no difference from bronze.

Perception of skill is relative. A diamond couldn't care less about the difference between a bronze and a silver, but the silver and the bronze will definitely notice the difference. The same goes in reverse too - a bronze probably won't appreciate the difference between plat and diamond as much as the plat or diamond would.

That's why all of these "Whatever, you're still low elo" or "Boosting doesn't matter unless it's to diamond" arguments miss the point.

Well not really. Silver is basic MMR. U just need to create account to be on silver MMR once u get 30 lvl. As for gold, u actually need to climb to get there. Silver is simply starting point. Look it from money perspective: Silver = you have no money at all. Bronze = you have no money but u have debt. Gold = you have some money... Now in terms of buying stuff, Silver and Bronze are same, none of them have any money.

Well we all have bad games from time to time, no matter division. When u face better opponent u gonna be stomped. I have 3 accounts in gold atm (wanna get them in plat before season end in same time). And situation isnt that bad.

Better idea: if there exists such a system that can identify boosters and boostees, then ban them all and be done with it. Boosting has always been bannable, and now not only has Riot legalized it, but they are encouraging it. Shame.

What you are actually experiencing is a bunch of smurfs in silver/gold with a bunch of new players.

Your skill level is that of the new players, and you face smurfs that give you the illusion that that is the "avg" silver player.

I'm one of them. For my smurfs G5 promo,

first game: 8 of the 10 players were diamond smurfs. The other two were random idiots feeding out the ass. 2nd game: It was just a literally a diamond game. 3rd game: premade of 4 challengers on enemy team, and a trimade of 3 challengers on my team. The two random gold players didn't really know what to do, so they just kind of sat there going "wtf is this shit."

I just got out of a game and my mid lane opponent was a smurf. So, I'm a smurf, and the average team seems to have 3 to 4 smurfs in it. It's safe to say around 75% of your games aren't actually silver games. They're games with a bunch of plat/diamond/master/challenger players with some silver and golds sprinkled in there feeding out the ass. And you're probably one of the silver players feeding out the ass.

In ranked your MMR is more volatile than your rank, though. So if you go on a huge winstreak you'll be matched against better players very quickly (and eventually skip a division so your rank will catch up more quickly.

All you have to do is look at the challenger ranked ladders and read a few articles.

Most of the upper elos are all getting paid 10-30k a month to boost bronze/silver noobs to diamond. I know you're a silly derp account. But, if you haven't even took a minute to pay attention to the news/boards/complaints/bans then I really don't know what to tell you.

Basically, and this is purely conjecture, I am just a derp derp after all, and don't know a damn thing first hand, but I would assume that the real market is in the numerous micro-transactions, for folks who just want a little boost, and whose parent won't give them enough for a higher cost boost.

Not everyone can afford $500 boost, but many loser adults with corporate jobs can, and they also have experience rationalizing their cheating, since it's probably how they got their jobs.

tl;dr not everyone can afford a lexus, but maybe if you get an expensive honda it will be similar.

N3acey the streamer is paying people to let him boost them to prove a point.

There's also a plethora of streamers that do "boost tuesdays." Where if they're a subscriber, they will boost whoever first come first serve.

This is the reason why the smurfs are quite abundant. Then you have all the diamond+ players bored of waiting hours upon hours for a queue. Some times it can take upwards of 3+ hours of dodging. Then you have people practicing new lanes. After a while, it adds up.

It's currently really really bad in Korea where there are boosting hubs where they nonstop make smurfs, attach numerous scripts to the account, snag some people, then grind them to really really high mmrs and then delete the account. Also, all the smurfs are done via botting, so, the bot smurfs are in the thousands. Which means, even if the smurf account gets banned, it doesn't even matter because they just got rid of the account anyways and are on to the next set of clients with a brand new account over loaded with scripts, which is how a lot of those smurfs with 90+% winrates over 100 games are even capable of achieving that.

You are preaching to choir my friend. People simply do not comprehend the fact that accounts are a renewable and, right now, limitless resource.

...and to some extant that's fine, you're never going to be able to explain to people, what should be obvious, without first hand showing them, so for them it is like UFO or Big Feet.

But for Riot, they should be ashamed of themselves, since they know and have let the tenuous balance which existed for years, go completely haywire.

I didn't have to scour the internet to prove to myself what was really going on, it was obvious, after several hundreds games if you don't start seeing the same patterns, then you simply do not have to aptitude to see such patterns.

For those people, riot one liners and psycho-babble theories provide a more humane approach.

This is a good idea assuming that anyone who doesn't play solo is boosting/being boosted and you're trying to stop people from boosting. What this means is that if I duo with a friend and we win some games I can now only play ranked when that person is online and also wants to play ranked. Oh, and if they quit league, I guess I need to make a new account if I want to play ranked.

The thing is, that if riot was to just match boosted players with their boosters, then how would the boosted players learn anything new? They would just sit back and become even worse the more they play with their boosters. If riot were to ban the boosters then it would allow the boosted players to learn by themselves, therefore getting them out of that low skill position.
