If tanks are popular now...

If the meta has shifted towards tanks, will tank shredders like trundle and kogmaw become popular now? I see kogmaws weaknesses in mobility but he is still a tank shredder with botrk and his w. I see trundle decent at all stages of the game. Why aren't these champs on the rise?

Tanks aren't really 100% on the rise; jungle diversity is in a really good spot at the moment; so tanks, bruisers, AND AP junglers are all mostly viable. Really have to hand it to Riot for that, they did an excellent job on that point. That being said, they are a lot more common now, so Trundle at the very least should be on the rise.

well from what i can tell kog is hard to play in that he is immobile and doesnt have a safer early game unlike vayne who does have some mobility and has a reasonably safe laning phase with her tumble as an escape, and trundle well there isnt any reason hes not popular he just isnt he is a very fun champ and a solid pick especially with the tank meta thats coming in

The beauty of the current meta is that tanks did not replace bruisers. Trundle is definitely more viable, but top lane isn't necessarily friendly to him. Kog'maw is on the rise. With Lulu being playable in three separate lanes, it's not hard to make a comp centered around him.

Right now, top lane is pretty much the Florida of League of Legends. Champions that were forsaken and replaced in a previous meta are all finding a new job there.

Research the "JuggerMaw" team comp
