Yasuos wind wall and talons ult

I was playing a game where i was talon against a yasuo. I went in on him and he used wind wall. We were both behind the wind wall. I used my ult and some of the blades hit the back of the wind wall. My entire ult dissipated. It did no damage at all. I dont see how blades going in the opposite direction of the wall disappear just because some others hit the wall. It was complete bs. Yasuos ult should only block the projectiles that actually hit the wall, not ones going in the opposite direction as well.
