What is the opinion on arcane comet?

I've seen it work very well on a few champions. More research is probably required to get a full grasp on its situation.

enemies can just walk out of it, aerie provides significantly more damage over the course of the game. comet seems like it could be useful late game to create positioning as people will avoid it, but its still not going to land. in the event you do land a CC ability first, then comet does stand a chance at landing, it doesn't matter as they're already dead before it lands because they were CC'd and people piled on.

it needs to either travel faster or have a significantly more reliable hit rate (even if it had a damage cost in return), as it stands now anything else is just better.

it really sucks. Highly prefer Phase Rush over it.

Great on anyone who has long range CC.

Graphically, its disappointingly underwhelming. Maybe good on champions with a weak early game.

Feels weak - is decent. Worth a Rune for sure - it's just sad you completely ignore it in lategame unlike most of the other keystone in terms of decision making.

I personally only found Arcane Comet useful on champions that utilized Rylais or a CC of some kind or Soraka specifically. Not much of a fan.

Rapid Fire Brand

It's pretty good for champions with CC, which can increase the chance of landing the comet.

Way less reliable than DFG or thunderlords, but the damage seems alright to me when it actually lands.

Feels weak but sometimes people panic while trying to dodge the comet so maybe that's an upside?
