A thought on Pantheon

Mantheon, amazing early game finishing power that rather quickly begins to dwindle into little power late game. You feel like you have to build ad in order to actually scale into the late game but that leaves you no protection once you enter the fight. Going defense makes you feel like you have no meaningful damage past lane phase. Unless you snowball and fast you just get outscaled by everyone else.

I feel like if panth had at least one ability that scaled with another stat rather than ad and ap he might feel a bit more useful. I was thinking, what if his Aegis of Zeonia scaled with health instead of AP. Then at least panth would benefit from building health items and it makes sense with the way the ability works. Considering ap pantheon isnt actually a thing done seriously i cant see an issue here. it would need to be rebalanced a bit so it doesnt give panth any more early game strength but a low base with a medium scaling shouldnt be to bad.

I feel like Pantheon scales into late game just fine. The damage items you need are BC and LW, nothing else. Build things like Randuins and Spirit Visage/Banshees that give both health and resists at the same time.

What players need to manage is the build path on Pantheon. If you didn't build defenses when you are supposed to, you will lose the advantage you accumulated early game. If you didn't build offenses when you are supposed to, you will lose your threat as a bruiser. Being able to distinguish when to build what will allow Pantheon to be good at all stages of the game. Besides, you don't really need to finish an offensive or defensive item - just building a Giant's belt if you think you will need it, then continue building other items.

Pantheon still gets to be threatening with his AD-scaling skills outputting very good damage: he has a 5.0*BonusAD ratio on two of his basic combined. What he only needs to manage is his resilience, in order to keep his advantage in a game with his multi-rotation burst model.

that is the issue though, looking at panth's kit it doesnt read that you would want to get resistances. It pushes you to build ad. If his W were to scale with health it would push newer players to build into more defensive stats. It would also better define his role as a fighter and not as an assassin. You also cant deny the fact that he does scale rather poorly into the late game, not necessarily in ratios but in over all fight contribution.
