I switched rolls with one of my duo partners and i got this message at the end of the game. Is this a threat riot? What does this mean? Does this mean my solo queue will go back to how it originally did as far as ranking? because i'm all for that. In case the link doesn't work it says "Frequent trading could lead to a deactivation of positional matchmaking.

So you cannot trade positions because you will get punished for that? Can i get some clarification on this?
It only effects you if you regularly swap roles. Riot will gradually treat the role you were assigned and the role you swapped to as the same when matchmaking you.
Basically you'd lose the advantage of the Positional MMR on those roles, meaning your MMR will be determined the same as it was last year.

How does it even track what position you are? If I que as bot Ashe, pick Ashe, then go top, how does it know I'm top?
