@Riot: Clarity on Kalista's E

For a move that is so essential to Kalista's play pattern, Rend doesn't actually read well on if it will execute a target. This isn't really a problem with minions, but in a prolonged engage against a champion (or monster for that matter, such as Dragon or Baron), it can be tricky to guess if you will get the reset. You can see the spears lodged in your enemy, and you can mentally keep track of "about" how much it will do based on how long you have been auto attacking, but there are always those moments where the E damage is not quite enough to finish a foe. When this happens, it's crippling to Kalista in teamfights, since so much damage is locked up in her E. The alternative, to ensure this doesn't happen, is attacking more times than you need to, wasting precious time. I view the reset on Rend similarly to Cho'Gath stacking his ult with champ kills. Cho'Gath gets a nice indicator that clearly tells the player "you can ult now and it won't be wasted." Keeping Rend off cooldown is similarly important to Kalista, if not even more so, and I believe it would greatly enhance the player experience with her if she could clearly see when Rend will get the reset.

While I'm on the topic of Kalista's E, there seems to be a weird bug where if you AA a minion once, then AA it again to last hit and immediately E right after the AA hits, you'll last hit the minion but Rend will go on cooldown. What should be happening instead is Rend should fail, because there is no living target with Rend stacks. This has been happening to me a lot, and I'm pretty sure these were all situations where I didn't have any Rend stacks on another target that would cause it to still be usable.

While this would work, I think it'd be even cooler if Kalista's spears marked the enemy's health bar in some way, highlighting the segment that'd be removed if she were to press E.

That sounds excessive lol

The only damage-related information that plays into Kalista's decision on whether to use E is "will this kill a unit?" If she's popping it early, it's either for the slow or just to get some extra damage on someone as they're running away. Showing extra stuff on the healthbar even when pressing E wouldn't lead to a kill would just be unnecessary noise.
