Sion Build Top (need advice)

Soooooooooooooooooooooo, long story short I bought Sion but I don't know what to build, I think a hybrid build would be good for him so what do you recommend me?

build a item 3026 on Sion is fun making them kill you not twice but 3 times is a pain in the ass and if you can get someone to play Zilean Kayle or old Yorick while you have a would make them have to kill you 4 times.

Full tank. I like to build something among the lines of item 3068 item 3111 item 3025 item 3053 item 3065 and something situational You really don't need more offense than that tho, if you need any at all.

Though if you snowball you can afford to build a damage item like Titanic. Warmogs is also a good item because of the CDR, massive health gain, and regeneration.

I despise Titanic on Sion. Your cast times (especially Q) are so long, the amount of time you spend not-aa-ing just makes it not worth IMO. I'd rather build item 3142 item 3111 item 3156 item 3022 item 3110 item 3147 (not in that order) because it's fun.

Yeah it's not the best item on Sion despite the health scaling damage. I rarely get it, and when I do it's only when I can feel I can get away with it.

Getting mallet or GA would probably be better.

I played AD Sion in ranked once, because the enemy toplaner picked Nasus vs me and I wanted to bully him for a bit, it was a lot of fun. I think I went Youmuus Mallet Maw Frozen Hearth.

Caitlyn flamed me for going AD Sion a few moments latah Sion runs in 1v5, kills 2 people, dies, 50-0's Lucian with one AA + Herald proc :3

I once went juggernaut Sion to try and relax from the frustration of not getting my last S for rank 7. Got an S that game by bullying the crap out of my laner, getting a bunch of CS and being an overall monster.

Sion can do a juggernaut build rather well, but that doesn't stop him from functioning like a good tank.

I'm still at level 6 on Sion. (That AD Sion game was my first level 7 token.) I intend to keep it that way untill I have level 7 on Yorick, so I can then get Sion to level 7. For now, I'll keep GP as my only level 7 :3

So far Sion is my only level 7. Poppy is my only level 6, but I don't think I'll be raising it. I got too used to Poppy before they took away her AA reset and it hasn't really been fun playing her again (I played her only in the jungle. Her nerfs made her jungling really slow and unfun).

Kinda sucks honestly. I'll probably try and get Yorick up there, but seeing Poppy only makes me feel sad.

Poppy is a strong laner. That's all she really does. She can function as a decent warden later on I guess? Her ranges are too low for her to function as a proper vanguard

It feels weird being a warden in top since the people you need to protect are in other lanes.

Maybe if I could jungle with her again...but I haven't been able to since the AA reset was removed.

Similar thing happened to Maokai. The W range nerfs forced him out of the jungle, into toplane. He's classified as a warden, but I'm sure he'd be considered a Vanguard if he still had that :P

I mean Maokai kinda does both jobs pretty well, it just depends on what your team needs.

True. I'm honestly just terrible at gauging when I should leave top to help. Usually I roam after I smash the tower.

When I'm playing Sion in a hard matchup, I just back as soon as I hit 6. Other than that, you kinda just want the wave in a good spot so you don't miss too many minions while roaming

attack speed and lifesteal. nothing else matters

go with 18 0 12 and get everything that has to do with lifesteal attack speed and movement speed in the red and green sections then put nothing but armor cooldown reduction hp and movement speed in your runes.

or you could just be boring and buy these items
