The True Demise 4.20 Change

I started playing LOL around December of Season 4 (2013). In my time I went from a Blind player to a avid ranked player. I risen from the clutches of Bronze 5 to Silver 4 and I feel this discussion needs to be written. I played nearly almost 1000 games since a year ago in ranked (laid off of work, downturns). In this new patch, 4.20 and beyond, I think maybe around 60-80 games I have logged in, possibly more. There is a problem with solo queue. I have many friends that range from silver to platinum and we all talked about it over a couple of beers the other night. A game we once loved has taken a toll for the worse. It use to be this competitive rise of who can be doing well, who will rank up, etc, and we all get together and comment on it. We live for the solo queue, odd duos, you get the point. Rare times 5v5 for fun. I have never in my life witnessed such a pathetic community. It's like ever since the snow came down (live in canada), I have been getting the most awful, toxic, feeding, anything you can think of kind of games. It's funny cause I see they implemented all these chat bans in the recent times, but yet I have never see it like this. It's like September the bomb was dropped, then with the new patch a atomic bomb was dropped. To sum up this thread, as a avid player in silver, daily. Why is this game so pathetic? The mechanics are correct, I love the game, everything about it. But the people are enough to quit this game forever. Then I thought to myself. This game is 5 years old. Almost any half decent laptop can play this game. This game is free. But I have to admit, watching Esports is alot more intense. Too bad that didn't carry over to the average gamer.

It happens to everyone. There's a hell elo for everyone out there where you seem to get feeders and trolls every game. It is because you have hit your skill cap with a certain strategy or champion. Some champs don't work at all elos for your given mechanical skill - for instance, the mechanical skill that a Silver Zed main has, might not be enough to carry to Platinum as Zed, since Platinum Zed mains have higher mechanical skill. Or, there are champs that require a certain type of strategy (i.e. splitpushing, counterjungling, etc) to be truly successful, and if you aren't comfortable with those strategies, you can't rise with that champ.

Find your main, find your strategy, and you'll naturally rise.
