League of Legends revenue tumbles 21% in a year

Your revenue over the last YEAR is down 21%!! Can you not see that you have been killing the game between Runes Reforged and Leathality? (and this item )

A lot of people stayed hoping that you would fix your game come preseason but the fact that you kept Runes Reforged is proof enough that Riot really doesn't give a fuck about the players anymore.

correlation without causation, there are plenty of other factors to consider tbh. not saying that this isnt one of them btw, but there are multitudes of reasons.

Here's the problem with the article:

League of Legends/Riot/Tencent has not released earnings in 2017 or 2018. So how would this author know this?

Anywho, supposing a revenue loss is correlated with the current Runes Reforged (we don't have evidence that's why players are mad),

The Upcoming Runes Reforged is basically the OLD mastery/Rune system back, in a new format. It's not like they aren't adjusting it.

They're added back 3 tiers of Subrunes to choose from, which bring back the starting stats versatility Runes used to have (1-10% CDR, Armor, Resist, etc)

So basically..... we're back to Runes + Masteries. It just looks different. And 7 of the runes are significantly different (Conquerer, PTA, Hail of Blades, Zombie Ward, Poro, Spellbook, Glacial Augment).

The rest is more or less back.

Now the complaints are going to be:

-Items -Champion balance -General fact that 80% of teams are made of of chronic feeders who never learned a thing in 8 years.

I hate the new runes tbh, free true damage, free bonus damage, free healing, free ghost, Just allow customizable stats like old runes without having to buy them instead of letting people pick out these huge passive abilities.
