Well rounded support?

I'm looking for a support that is very well rounded, has a couple supportive abilities, does okay in most match ups, basically never a terrible pick but doesn't have to be an amazing pick either.

Nami, Leona, Soraka, Taric, Alistar.

Id throw in Lulu and Sona, but if you are not a main, it can end really badly.

Janna and Nami are good protective champs that let you hang back and chill, are useful even if you're behind, and still have a good skill ceiling. Alistar is probably one of the best tanks in the game, so if you prefer to get into the action, he's easy to play. My favorite is Leona

Eh maybe not the most well rounded but I can guarantee you will have the most fun playing Thresh. The better at him you get the more well rounded you get as well to a point. He isn't just about hitting the abilities but what is your intent when you use them. You always have something to offer in every situation just because of how versatile his kit is. You facilitate really strong ganks and can also deny enemy ganks very hard. Almost every champion that counters you... you can counter them back as well like Leona who may give you every reason to not all in but you also can stop her all in.

He is also a support that can pair well with any champion in my opinion. Keep divers off your kog maw or get your olaf on top of an enemy carry within a second. You can save an ally that got picked from certain death and pick off an enemy for their certain death at the same time hypothetically. Your results with the champ depend on you in most cases.

Lulu is pretty much the swiss army knife of supports, you might want to try her.

Nami or Bard if you want a challenge.
