PSA For all Aspiring Junglers

Hey guys, I'm currently a Gold level jungle main. My goal this season is to climb to at least plat. Now, for all you people looking to improve and become a god at jungling, these are the tips that I have implemented into my play to improve my personal play by a lot.

Watch LCS and use similar clearing paths
Buy tracker's knife or sightstone (sightstone only on tanks)
Give up buffs for carries
Don't play devourer junglers
Rush swifties

These are the main things that I have implemented into my play and it has helped me a lot. I main Elise and Rek'sai and often will rush swifties and sightstone which may seem to be bad purchases, but allows for more ganks and counterganks to be made with the movespeed and vision these items give. Give me your opinions on my playstyle and perhaps try it out and see if you like it.

Thank you. Devourer junglers are 1) Not in a good position in the first place 2) Late game, and the meta is currently early game 3) Very farm centered in low ELO, which neglects the team.

AP tank junglers like Elise Gragas Zac Maokai with item 1410 and then full tank are extremely good if you are great mechanically and have good pressure.

Yea. I only play 2 glass cannon junglers, which are Diana and Nidalee. Both of which I rarely play because in league cc is king and both of which don't have any cc aside from Diana's e which is minor. I almost always am playing tank reksai or tank Elise because my team needs babysitting.

What works in a solid 5 man team format doesn't always work well in a "solo" queue format.

I've been doing this for awhile. I took a sort break from this at the start of the season, but I would build sightstone in season 5 on my junglers as well.

Gotta say I greatly disagree with no Dev junglers, split pushing is really strong.

Yea, except there are too many games where your team needs babysitting and you're at a loss because you're splitting instead.

That just comes with practice in reading the map and timeing when ur team is gonna need u and when they wont, all comes with practice

Objectively speaking, you probably can't afford to split push as the Jungler. As you will be unable to join your team if a fight breaks out. (You wouldn't be able to run TP unless you gave up flash.)

If the enemy had one good initiator, there's a good chance that the enemy will mop up the rest of your team 5v4. And if they do mop up your team, you can't base race that.

The only way this could work is if you used Banner or portal to split push, as they are pretty fire and forget. Yet you wouldn't be going devourer if you built either of those items.

Take it from someone who is great at devourer junglers. THEY SUCK. Most people who play against me and go devourer never get sated because of how little they can do. It requires your team to help you a lot to get sated when you play against someone with a brain. Plus. You generally aren't fanning as much as someone like reksai, which I hold highly because of how good she is at babysitting the team.

i main jungle:)..diamond 5 last season, will get diamond this season when i have the time to play;).

Sighstone-never did and never will buy it..waste of gold LCS- you play solo que, you need to be greedy;) swiftness- don;t really like to rush them, i get that they are strong as a ganking tool, but i preffer combat stats;)

Best tip to climb as jungler is this. know the matchups;)..

Trust me on this. I win more games when I get sightstone or trackers knife. I have 65% winrate or above on Reksai and Elise. Being greedy has actually gotten me nowhere. By being a second support that does damage has helped me climb a lot. If you see my op.gg I have a bad winrate on Nidalee and Diana in ranked even though they're 2 of my strongest champions. The reason behind this is that I've found that most teammates are too bad to let someone carry them.

W/e works for you man:)..But to be honest, playing support jungle in your elo, it's like asking to get carried;)..not my style..but, if you win more playing like this, Good job;)
